    Just about Passable

    rating26 Aug 2025

If your on a budget or have booked already and it wouldn’t make sense to cancel then this will help..Recent visit August 2025 stayed in 2 room Superior chalet family of 5 HighlightsLocation: locate in a fairly remote mountainous region, quiet. You will be immersed in nature plenty animals. Ie Peacocks, chickens, cats, birds etc all about the property. Very safe and guarded 24/7Staff: Restaurant staff very accommodating and staff generally helpfulEverything else Although it scored as a 4 star its actually 2.5 star at most. The condition of the chalet is extremely dated and you wouldn’t really use the kitchen to cook in. Ants are a problem you cannot leave anything out at all. You do have a fridge and aircon in the chalet however do not book a room only as those apartments do not have ac and are a 20min walk from reception. The chalet are 5 min walk. The general cleanliness of the rooms are average with basics done on arrival new sheets moped etc. But curtains nets fixture and fittings are filthy and in need of a deep clean. To obtain new towels which you have 2 big 2 small it’s and exchange process which is convoluted. Room is not cleaned during your stay. My wife did it. We asked on day 5 and they said they only clean after 7 days but didn’t turn up for 10 days we were there. To negate some of these issue we cleaned ourself, wore slippers inside, brought anti bac and bleach, black bags. Staff try there best to be honest always seem to be receiving a lot of complaints always busy. As a English speaker sometimes things were lost in translation but sorted later. French or native speakers seemed to be the default with a lot of locals at the hotel. There are no shops in walking distance (+45min) only one restaurant on site so it wise to be at least half board. The nearest beach and off licence a taxi ride away down the mountain. You should only pay 50 dirham to get to the beach (down the mountain) but we heard of some paying 250! So heads up. Nice beaches and restaurant to eat. Plage agroud, loca beach and a further trip to taghazout beach were all worth it. The swimming pool was small dated but passable for our 3 children. Many tiles missing and potential hazards so water shoes is a must for adults and children smh. Now the reason we choose this hotel was for the aqua park which in actuality is decent for the children with a small water park and slide for the young children and two bigger rides for the older children. Now I wasn’t told that this is not included in the price even though its on the hotels premises. 500 dir we had to pay everytime we wanted to go the water park. In conclusion definitely would not return unless some serious renovations and uptake took place but we made it work and never let it ruin our holiday the beaches and weather was fantastic and we added a couple trips into agaidr main so we made the most of it and made special memories

    Not 4* Needs updating

    rating14 Aug 2025

Definitely not 4*! We were put in an apartment with no air conditioning and not even a fan in the 35+ heat we asked for at least a fan and they said none were available. The staff at reception were rude and ignored us and we had to wait 3 hours for the manager who to be fair was a nice lady to put us in a chalet at an extra cost of €20 per night which we didn’t mind paying because staying without AC would have been unbearable for the kids! The water park is not included in the resort and had to pay £60 each time for a family of 4 for 2 slides! Didn’t see no kids room and the games room you have to pay for if you want to play pool or on the arcade machines. No WiFi in any apartment or chalet so everyone gathers in the reception area. The restaurant menu was limited. Breakfast was the same everyday. The beach is not a 20 minute walk more like 40minutes and that if you want to risk you’re life on the winding mountain road with no foot path and in the unbearable heat. The hotel will call a taxi for you but be careful as they will try and charge you £25 for a five minute ride to the beach. We found a local that took us for £5 or 50 MD. Overall if the chalets were updated and water park included and maybe if they put a shop in the resort and had WiFi in the chalets it could be a lovely place to stay. Definitely needs updating.

Come for the Holiday, Stay for the Survival Training

    rating11 Aug 2025

Lunja Village is the only place I’ve been where you pack flip-flops, sun cream, and a hazard awareness manual. It’s less “resort” and more “post-apocalyptic training ground”, complete with unsafe pools, broken equipment, and a bar that shuts when you need it most.We arrived expecting the advertised “4-star” Moroccan resort. What we got was more “1-star post-apocalyptic survival camp”. Facilities? Imagine a brochure, then cross out anything that looks fun. One of three pools was closed, the others had missing tiles, safety tape, and a thrilling “find the glass shard” activity for the kids. The gym was a museum of broken equipment, the tennis court looked like it had hosted a tank battle, and the water park wasn’t included (but for £50 you can enjoy 3 slides — assuming they’re open). The kids’ club? Limited activities, no English-speaking staff, and an unsafe trampoline. Our children lasted five minutes before we decided it was safer to stick them in the room — which, by the way, had no air conditioning in 38°C heat, French doors that didn’t lock, missing door handles, and a fridge that leaked like a punctured water balloon.Dining was… an experience. The restaurant ran out of bottled water in the heat, so we waited while someone nipped to the shop. Breakfast was limited to “egg” or “egg in a different shape”. A waiter tried to charge us for things we didn’t order — perhaps to raise funds for the missing bats and balls at the broken table tennis table. It’s also miles from anywhere, with no local shop, meaning you’re completely dependent on the resort (a terrifying prospect). The staff ranged from indifferent to outright rude, with reception in particular showing open contempt towards foreign tourists. The final insult? It was my son’s birthday. Instead of a special celebration, we spent it dodging hazards, sweating in a stifling room, and wondering if the bar would reopen (it didn’t — for two days). On the plus side, if you enjoy industrial waste as part of your holiday aesthetic, you’ll love the piles of dumped furniture scattered around the site.Morocco has so much to offer, and this resort has the potential to be part of that. Rumour has it a new company is taking over with plans for a full renovation next year — if done properly, Lunja Village could one day be a great place to stay.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!

    rating10 Aug 2025

Do not stay here!If you have booked a holiday here cancel it immediately, our booking didn’t exist! We were forced to pay cash to stay for the first night after arriving at midnight! The manager and staff so rude! No electric in the room, kettle didn’t work, room was so dirty and no air con! The restaurant and food is absolutely awful, all the kids slicing their feet in the pools! Miles away from anywhere and airport, no local shops and they won’t provide you with anything! I beg you to please please stay away!
