    A Disappointing Experience

    rating12 Apr 2026

Disappointing serviceI recently visited Villa Blanche for drinks with friends, having called ahead and been assured that no reservation was required for the bar.Whilst the venue itself is undeniably beautiful, the service was, regrettably, quite the opposite. After being seated outside, we waited approximately 20 minutes simply to receive a menu, followed by a further 30 minutes before our order was taken. Although the drinks arrived within a reasonable time, the service continued to deteriorate thereafter. When additional friends joined us, we requested another menu and were left waiting for over half an hour, despite staff passing by repeatedly. Upon finally addressing this, I was met with the rather astonishing response: “I forgot about you.” delivered without apology, courtesy, or even the slightest acknowledgement of the inconvenience. For an establishment of this calibre, one would expect at the very least a basic standard of attentiveness and professionalism. Unfortunately, this was entirely absent. We ultimately chose to leave, as the atmosphere was overshadowed by the sheer lack of care in service.A charming venue, sadly let down by profoundly poor hospitality.

The hotel owners do need to upgrade some of the facilities and areas need to be redecorated.

Villa BlanchA beautiful small hotel which displays Moroccan charm. In particular the staff are good, attentive, friendly and want to please. This is the second time I have stayed and the hotel owners do need to upgrade some of the facilities and areas need to be redecorated. The covers for the loungers in the upgraded junior suite were ripped and need replacing. The spa area is dreary with a cool jacuzzi and worn out keep fit machines. It resembles a dungeon and not an area for relaxation. The breakfast is served but a buffet would be so much better where you can choose your own items. I watched cakes, bread, pancakes and more never consumed therefore wasted. More attention needs to be given to the quality of the overall breakfast served eg boiled eggs were served with their tops cut ready for the customer but raw!!!This hotel suffers from the owners being absent and not monitoring the establishment with enough detail. Exposed wires on the junior suite terrace dangerous and clearly not being addressed. The gardens are well maintained.

    The loveliest hotel in Agadir

    rating15 Jan 2026

We had the most perfect stay. The location was amazing, a short walk down to the beach and in a really quiet neighbourhood. As soon as you walked in you immediately felt calm with serene music, candles and the most gorgeous smells. The staff were really helpful - we also indulged in a massive that was INCREDIBLE. The facilities are like no other - the indoor and outdoor pools were just lovely… clean, quiet and beautifully designed. We stayed in a suite which again was beautifully designed, really spacious and all the facilities you needed. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the pool and we had a sea view. There were towels and robes and sweet treats on arrival. We had lunch by the pool one day and cocktails in the bar which were both delicious. It was 100% worth the money. We didn’t want to leave!!

    Inconsistent Beauty

    rating18 Aug 2025

We had a reasonable time during our 4 day stay. We booked a Junior Suite & airport transfer with the hotel and paid for this in advance along with half board. The Hotel is very beautiful and characterful but we found the service ocasionally lacking and inconsistent. We also had Issues with invoicing & billing. The food at breakfast and dinner also inconsistant in its quality. For me to want to return the Hotel needs to improve on it's consistancy of service and cut out the issues. The location of the Hotel is also an issue with it being at the furthest end of the bay with a long walk or a taxi ride to get closer to any other amenities. We arrived to the Hotel on the first day at about half past one with a direct transfer from the airport. Reception told us that our room was not ready and we were asked to wait in the bar and someone would come and find us, understandable as check-in is 3pm. We waited past 3 and at about 4.30-5 we went back to reception, the original receptionist no longer on duty but yes our room was ready. We were shown to room 101, and unfortunately this wasn't the Junior Suite we had booked and paid in advance for. The hotel did make an attempt to fix this and upgraded us to an Executive Suite 307, and this was appreciated. The upgrade room was large and mostly well appointed, a reasonably comfortable bed, lovely chairs, a large bath. Issues we had included that the bath plug did not work, some plug sockets did not provide power and the fridge was warm/broken. The outside veranda was covered in saharan dust, but had a great view of the see and a barren, litter strewn, soon to be developed patch of land (In which its also possible to watch the development lands security guards wild toileting!). It felt like the room was awaiting repair or was out of commision and had only been put in to service because of the hotel room scheduling error. The room was cleaned every day but with inconsistent replacement of toiletries and coffee/sugar.The pool was lovely, clean and the garden is fabulous. We are early risers so when we went to the pool we could always find a sunbed, but all sunbeds were usually reserved by 10am. Drink Service by the pool could be improved, staff should enquire as to needs of guests more often, again inconsistancies one day everyone at the pool was asked if they wanted to look at the lunch menu and orders taken poolside, other days, it was necessary to go to the pool hatch, with sometimes a very long wait for a barman/waiter to appear.Breakfast was large, in a continental style, french pastries, fresh melon, yoghurt and a fruit compote daily, we ordered omlettes on the first day, and were asked what ingredients we wanted, they came with additional tomato, not a problem but quite unexpected. The next day we had include the insurance of ordering and specifing without tomato. The pastries were of standard french quality. We ordered boiled eggs twice, one day 2 eggs came, the next one egg with rustic toasted soldiers. Inconsistancy.Dinner some dishes were excellent, and for myself well cooked other times lacked finess or were not prepared as expected. The time for service varied with dishes arriving swiftly some evenings and taking some time on others. One evening my entrecote was exactly saignant as ordered and perfectly cooked but the chateubriand came bien cuit despite it being also asked for rare. Ice cream is also not Sorbet, for someone wanting a low fat option and trying to avoid ice cream it would be good to clarify on the menu. For the first 3 nights i signed for our dinner and drinks, the 4th night only our drinks were on the invoice. When we paid the final invoice on leaving the receptionist made sure to remove the food items as it was part of the half board, noting the error(s). Note that the restaurant does have cats that can be interactive, we didn't mind but im mindful that some may not. When we were about to depart 10mins before our transfer waiting in reception for our transfer we were told that my pre-paid airport transfer hadn't been paid, with unclear invoices shown as proof. Not in the mood to argue but uneasy, this was paid so we could depart. I would ask other guests to ensure that they get written confirmation from reception or the hotel management that all pre-paid services have been paid for at the time of booking.

    Beautiful boutique hotel, but.........

    rating07 Jun 2025

I have stayed here several times over the years and had a range of experiences. It is a small boutique hotel built in the style of an old Riad. This short stay was very average. The rooms are beautiful and huge - particularly the suites which are worth the upgrade. However, there is an overwhelming feeling that they prefer French guests. Service levels were very mixed. At a busy dinner service, you will struggle. Menu is in French and no help / guidance from staff. I am fine with basic French, but you need more than this to navigate the menu. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely pool area but has limited space when the hotel is busy. Location means that you need a car or taxis.
