  Wonderful holiday

  We stayed for two weeks, a wonderful holiday. The hotel was refurbished about three years ago with a modern contemporary design. It is in a fantastic central location with easy access onto the promenade close to restaurants and the marina. The pool area and furniture are some of the best we have experienced. The staff and standard of service was outstanding, friendly, nothing was too much trouble. It is difficult to give praise to individuals because you come into contact with some staff more than others. However, we received exceptional service from,Nouhaila, Omar, Claimae and Karim at breakfast.Usamar, pool and Rokaya room service. We will definitely return , thank you for helping to make our first visit to Morocco such a memorable one.

  Lovely hotel … but left with a bitter taste

  My friend and I stayed here for five nights. We had booked a balcony room with a view of the pool. It was deluxe but not a suite as apparently all of the suites have double beds and we wanted twin beds. We found the reception staff very friendly and helpful. However we were disappointed with the ‘pool view’ room location as we could only see the poo if we leaned over the balcony railings, the view from the bedroom was across at the other rooms which we could see straight into. When we sat on the seat on the balcony we could not see the pool at all which was a shame as we wanted to sit on the balcony with drinks on evening. The pool was beautifully maintained although it was freezing cold and the gardens were very well maintained too. The breakfast buffet choice was spectacular and we found the service very good apart from waiting for tea and coffee which we could not serve ourselves. This often took some time. We felt that there were issues with maintenance in some areas of the hotel …not quite 5 stars but generally we were very happy with our choice of accommodation. The hotel location was excellent …very close to shops and very good restaurants. We also had evening cocktails at NASCAR on the beach to watch the sunset. The service was great. Our only real issues was the view from our balcony and the price of the drinks around the pool area…they were ridiculously expensive … a glass of wine was 4 times the price of the bar near the hotel which was a shame…. if they had been more reasonably priced we definitely would’ve bought a lot of drinks around the pool. The quality of the food at the breakfast buffet was also excellent and the staff cleaning the bedrooms were also very good. It was a bit strange that the toilet is separate to the bathroom with no sink which meant I was not able to wash my hands when my friend was in the shower and I had been to the toilet. Also there was milk in the fridge for tea and coffee but this was not replenished during our stay.   Firstly the breakfast staff and breakfast food fantastic, the pool guys especially Ossama 5 star and the Delli bar relaxed and serviced by a young man called Ammen (needs a promotion) again 5 star.But the reception staff as said in previous reviews and from our experience last year let the side down.
