The hotel has 171 rooms, which are located on 24 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock.     Avoid wasting budget in Sofitel - 5 star rating should be reviewed

    2 night stay 4.5. - 6.5.2026 during a business trip - first room 905 had a massive mold issue - you smell right away when entering the room. The reception was aware of it (what a shame giving such a room to a new client). Room changed to 902 - pictures attached. 1.) Unshielded electric cables on the windowsill outside 2.) Spiderwebs at the ceiling 3.) loose reading light 4.) damaged wall and finally 5.) moldy fan in the shower. Made Sofitel onsite manager aware - she offered an equivalent of ~15€ of loyalty points and a free dinner - the bill remained at 200€ a night. Worst experience in business travel.

    This is a fake Sofitel Casablanca. Why I awarded "fake" as it is nowhere close to what you experienced of Sofitel in Vietnam or in Queenstown or even close to 4 star. When we reach the hotel lobby, it doesn't look like a hotel, more like some rundown place and the front door looks bizarre. Upon entry, was dark and feels you’ve entered a wine bar. Reception was efficient and gave us our room 1900 which is a Junior Suite which I booked. We went to the run down lift, even the buttons of the lift feels like coming off. Feels like you’ve entered into a typical 3 star hotel in S.America. Once door opens on 19th floor, you already can smell the stale air and the carpet looks like American run down chain in Chicago. Our room upon entrance smelled of someone has been smoking. The floors are dirty, the sofa you can see crumbs of food, the working desk you can see crumbs of whatever, I took tissues to wipe the working desk and the tissues are BLACK. The towels are yellowish, you feel like you're in a public swimming pool when stepping into the shower area. The electric kettle! It was filled with some slimy yellowish liquid inside. Is like someone has vomited in it. I knew I’ve to get out of this place. I went to their fitness center to try out the tiny swimming pool to wake myself up. It was a scary affair. No towels to be seen and the water taste ridiculously weird. When I use my goggles to see underneath, my god, lots of dirt, I came up right away and head for a shower in the room. I also googled where are the 5 stay hotel in Casablanca, booked it and check out immediately. When we came down to reception after 1.5hrs upon checking in with our big suitcases, we told them we can't stay in this place. Saving grace is manager Lisa Bertrand. She was calm, cheerful and helpful. Wanted to show us another room, unfortunately this hotel needs a major overhaul to win me over. We checked into Royal Mansour next door - that is a real 5 star hotel. I hope Sofitel Marrakech is not going to be this scary as that will be my next stop.     The reception is formal and functional, bordering on unfriendly. There’s plenty of staff around but they seem more focussed on chatting and laughing amongst themselves than guest experience, which is a shame because the staff in the brasserie are the polar opposite - they are friendly and welcoming. Rooms differ in standard despite the same categorisation. I stayed three nights on arrival in Casablanca and couldn’t fault the room. Staying one night before I leave Morocco and the room is smaller, older and in need of some TLC/repair. It’s a disappointment considering the standard of the hotel.     Disgusting stains, poor service

    We paid extra for a "luxury" room, but it had a vomit stain next to the bed and a series of disgusting stains on the couch. The toilet was in a closet on the other side of the room from the sink. For some reason, there was a baby crib, and the staff wouldn't remove it. We asked to switch rooms, but they said no. They said they would refund us (we ended up booking a last-minute room at the Marriott down the street), but more than a week later, and they still haven't. This is far from a five-star hotel -- it is dirty, and I would stay away.

    I stayed for 3 days and got 100USD voucher during my stay. However when I checked out the hotel charged additional cost within that 100usd. They realized the mistake but refuse to refund!
