    Unique & Peaceful Resort

    rating01 May 2026

Temple Tree was just the perfect choice for our stay in Langkawi.A 10 minute taxi ride from the airport but very quiet and relaxing. We stayed in Estate 4 which was one of the smaller bungalows that was originally a plantation workers house from the 1940s.On saying that it was a good size with an ensuite, peaceful verandah and a private garden. We spent several mornings sitting on the verandah watching the sunrise and listening to the birds, it was magical. It was a well appointed room and we had everything we needed. The a/c and large ceiling fan were fine for cooling the room down and we slept well. Earplugs were provided but we didn't need them. Breakfast had plenty of choice with a hot & cold buffet plus fresh hot food station for the preparation of egg dishes & was served in the on site restaurant, Paloh, which had a lovely terrace in the grounds. Paloh also served lunch & evening meals.Staff were friendly and helpful. The on site outdoor pool was a little oasis; quiet and had beds & umbrellas. The hotel grounds were lovely. Well tended but not over manicured gardens. It is a 15 minute walk to Chenang Beach which is a beautiful quiet beach that had beds & umbrellas to hire.A unique hotel which we were really pleased we chose for our stay

    Beautiful resort

    rating27 Apr 2026

This resort did not disappoint. The heritage buildings and lush gardens are beautiful. We stayed in Colonial 3 which at the time of booking didn’t realise had stairs. That’s not a problem for us but if you do have mobility issues best to check first. There was never a problem getting a sun lounger. The resort was almost booked out yet it was very quiet. Breakfast was great plus they make their own kombucha, yogurt & sourdough which was delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi is good. Location: probably a bit far to walk to cenang main street especially in the heat. I would suggest hiring a car which is cheap as there’s not much traffic on the road. Island is small so only takes 30 mins to get to the other side. Lastly be mindful if you have children as the pool is designed for subtle activity as the pool floor and sides have rough rendering with stone which easily scraps skin

Fantastic Bar Experience at Temple Tree

    rating16 Apr 2026

I recently visited Temple Tree Resort with some friends, and we had a really great time. The place has a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for just chilling and enjoying the evening.A big highlight was the bar. Akmal, the bartender, was excellent — super friendly and clearly knows what he’s doing. The drinks were amazing, and the mojito was honestly out of this world, definitely one of the best I’ve had.I’d also like to mention Miss K for her great service. She was attentive, welcoming, and made sure everything went smoothly for us.Overall, even though we didn’t stay at the resort, we had such a good experience just hanging out there. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a nice spot to relax with friends in Langkawi.

    Charming Heritage Stay

    rating06 Apr 2026

This is a truly charming hotel and a refreshing change from large, impersonal modern properties. The beautifully restored heritage buildings give the entire place a unique character, making it feel special and memorable. It’s especially well-suited for families or groups, with apartment-style accommodations that include comfortable living spaces to relax and spend time together. That said, there are a couple of factors to be aware of. There can be some noise from a nearby airport, and early risers—or light sleepers—may notice the morning call to prayer from a nearby mosque.Overall, a characterful and inviting stay that offers something different, especially if you appreciate history and atmosphere.

    Malaysian dream

    rating22 Mar 2026

An unbelievable stay! The staff at Temple Tree were so attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for Mal, Ms K, Roy or Irene, amongst others. Colonial 3 was the room we stayed in and it was magnificent! Beautifully designed and dressed. The pool area was such a relaxing little Malaysian oasis. We'd stay in this place again in a heartbeat.
