Location

The hotel is located 100 m from the beach and 200 m from Essaouira's medina. Menara Airport is around 170 km from the hotel.

Facility

14 rooms are available to guests in a 2-storey main building and an auxiliary building. Multilingual staff at the reception desk are on hand round the clock to assist guests with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. Guests of the hotel are welcome to relax in the garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a page service. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. For a fee, extra beds or children's beds can be provided for little travellers. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) ensure optimal comfort. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. Sport

Guests can go for an energising swim at the freshwater pool complex (in part heated). A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. The pool bar serves a selection of refreshing drinks. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a beauty salon, massage treatments and a solarium. Subject to charge: a hammam.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive. A delicious breakfast is an excellent reason to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests can order dishes à la carte or choose a set menu. Special culinary options, such as diet meals, are also available. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    The Hotel Ocean Vagabond (not to be confused with the bar of the same name at the other end of the beach!) is in an ideal location a couple of hundred metres from the beautiful beach and very close to the medina. The pool & small garden were lovely, we had a dip every afternoon & chilled out in the little garden 'hut'.The staff are really lovely - very friendly & helpful.The breakfast was great - fresh fruit, bread, eggs, pastries & cakes.I had a room facing the road - it was basic, but clean and good enough. There was a bath & shower, ample storage and a safe. The TV didn't work (but didn't want to watch it anyway). The bed was OK, the pillows a bit lumpy. The main problem was the road noise, so I didn't sleep very well. My friend upgraded to a pool-facing room with balcony, which was much, much nicer and a lot quieter!I would have liked a kettle in the room, or tea/coffee facilities downstairs. The nearest cafe was 5 min walk away.It's a good basic hotel and I would stay here again, but would upgrade my room & bring a kettle & tea bags!

    We were given a free upgraded room which was not expected but appreciated. The hotel is in need of some TLC, the door to the balcony rubs against the floor, the door for the bathroom was covered with dust, the toilet did not flush properly and the shower head wouldn’t sit right. For breakfast in the morning only half the tables were set up properly (cutlery, napkins etc). Breakfast wasn’t very good and service was off, we received our jams after all the food was served so it was quite pointless and the coffee cups were dirty.

    The Hotel has everything you Need. Big bathroom, comfortable bed, nice breakfast, clean swimming pool. The staff is really nice and polite too. You are really close to the old city of essaouria- about 5 min walking. If your holidays are about surfing it’s a real long walk to all the surfing schools and the good surfing spot - around 25 minutes. You can really here the cars from the room because there is the Main Street. So If you are a light sleeper you should book the room which is NOT facing the sea, because there is also the main road. In general it’s a real cute little hotel :)

    The hotel is nice bud old.The doors from the balkony don't close properly as some others also.The furniture is very old and not in a good condition.The dishes are not cleaned very well. The breakfast is too sweet, not really healthy.For now it's not worth the price.But, the staff is very very friendly, the garden is soo beautiful and the pool is nice.The hotel is just in front of the Medina, the location is perfect.If the management would improve the kitchen staffs training and do some smaller maintenance it would be a really great hotel.If the management would improve some things and trained the stuff well it could be a superb hotel.

    Loved our stay here. Noureddine and the other staff were wonderful and did everything they possibly could to male our stay comfortable. If you are looking for a generic 4* hotel then this isn’t for you. It feels more like a big Riad and more homely. The rooms could do with a little updating. The wooden bed frames creaked VERY loudly and it took some investigation to work out that a kink in the shower hose was causing low water pressure.But for the price this was great and I would definitely stay again.Location perfect and pool/reception area lovely and relaxing.
