    Quiet stay at the inn

    rating27 Jan 2026

You will need transport to get to the centre of old Fez, so this well worn hotel is a quiet location for a stay and appears to host many large tours. There is a small 2-3 person lift just past reception, which is a problem for large tour groups. The clean bed and bathroom are a good size, additionally with a small outdoor balcony, however, there is no kettle or free bottles of water in the room and the shower temperature is warm at best. The TV has international channels and the WI-FI is good. Didn’t get to use the pool due to cold rainy weather. The buffet food is largely vegetarian and meat dishes are served to tourists by staff, unfortunately some food is lukewarm. In the evening all drinks have to be bought, but coffee/water/juice are free for breakfast. Booked as part of a tour, I believe the rooms are circa £60/night which is reasonable.

Terrible. They will steal your stuff

    rating05 Jan 2026

A lot of stealing at this hotel. They stole a jewelry box of mine that had jewelry and pills in it. They took other little things from others on our tour but this was a real problem since it was a prescription medication that they stole. I noticed it was missing before we left and we had the maids and others in the room to search for the item and ripped the room apart. It was pretty obvious that they knew what had happened and were just playing the part of looking for it when they knew it was long gone. Almost every other person on our tour said they were missing little items of no consequence but what they took from me really put me out for the rest of the trip.

    Avoid

The receptionist had a bad attitude. The buffet was nowhere near as nice as the photos and the omelet lady was always in a bad mood both days. Our toilet seat was cracked and pinched my ass. The shower only had half a door so the bathroom flooded. So we got a different room on the second night. The only problem with the 2nd room was the half shower door and the flooded bathroom.

    Old and tired

    rating14 Nov 2025

This place was not of our choosing as it was part of a tour package. The appearance of the lobby alone already gives one a sense of "uh oh". The interior evoke a 1960s design which may not excite new guests. Then our room was on the third level which we had to reach by climbing stairs as they had no elevators. Although the bell staff brought our bags up to our door, we had to lug them down ourselves the next morning. The room was comfy enough however: good bed and pillows, strong AC, mini ref, TV (local channels only), and wifi. In the morning, many guests complained that there wasn't any hot water gushing from the shower. The reason? There were too many guests bathing at the same time that the water heating system could not cope! Unbelievable! As for the breakfast buffet, it was typical continental with a few local dishes added. There's a persistent queue at the coffee dispenser as many tour groups were dining at the same time prior to check out.So if you could book on your own, stay somewhere else.

DO NOT TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!

    rating01 Feb 2025

Hello I am writing to make a complaint regarding The Fes Inn & Spa Hotel located at 47 Rue Boujdour, Fez 30000 Morocco which we stayed at from January 1-3 2025. At which time I hung up my brand new short black leather jacket and a long maxi dress red with a design pattern on it. I know exactly where I put it and can even describe the type of hanger I hung it up on in the hanging side of a two sliding door closet. I know this because not only was it the only time I hung anything up during the trip, but also because the other side of the closet had the safe and extra pillows in it. I spoke with our group leader who then called the Fes Hotel ASAP. They claimed they looked and nothing was there. This is impossible as I can give you any details needed and I'm 100% sure it was there when we left. I also did a search online to call myself (even though they did not speak english very well). When I did so I came across more reviews about the hotel, some which described the SAME exact thing happen to them. Stating that the hotel steals stuff that is left behind. There NEEDS to be something done about this. Very disappointing especially since we stayed at numerous hotels on our 13 day journey around Morocco but this one was one that we stayed 2 nights at. DO NOT TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!
