  A truly memorable experience

  Staying at this hotel is a highlight of a trip to Fes in itself. First, the hotel is beautiful; it's clear that every detail has been carefully and tastefully designed. Second, the staff and service are exceptional. For example, we arrived late and hadn't had eaten. Although the restaurant service was over, they arranged to have dinner for us. Another example - we decided at 10 pm one night that we'd like to take a tour the next day, and they got it arranged. Omar, Mohammed, Nezha, and everyone made us feel at home. We took several tours that the hotel arranged, and our driver Noureddine was exceptional - very warm and welcoming, and full of information in excellent English. We highly recommend staying at the Riad Karawan, it is a true 5 star experience.

  Walking the labyrinthine streets of the medina in Fes, you wonder what awaits you behind the big door of Riad Karawan. You step straight into a tale from the Arabian nights. The cool courtyard opening to the sky, the hospitality of the staff, the stunning monochromatic decor. The suites are decadent. The baths indulgent. And the pearl- the terrace. A view over the old city. Food and drink to spoil your tastebuds. The atmosphere- pure romance of history. Breakfast is a taste of many local delicacies. The hammam caters to your sensual delights. The Medina at your feet. If you can afford it, this place will make all your Moroccan dreams come true.

  Relaxing stay in a busy Medina

  A lovely place with friendly, caring and helpful staff. A great view from their rooftop where all meals can be taken once one has managed the 51 steps up there:)However, the atmosphere, the food and service are equally great downstairs in their lavishly decorated patio.I can only recommend a stay there.

  Hidden gem in Fes

  This was one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in during our entire trip. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive to our needs. They went above and beyond On our last day back they even packed us a to go breakfast. Omar, Nezha, and simhamed are exceptional staff.The amenities are nice as well, which include complementary breakfast, rooftop terrace, and spa services. Overall, I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting fez, do not look further.

  So Happy We Stayed Here!!!

  As navigating the Madina in Fez is so difficult, we were very appreciative of how attentive the staff was in ensuring that we had a car and driver to fetch us from the train station and help with the bags to get to the Riad. Our room, Chergui Suite, far exceeded our expectations, and had plenty of seating including a balcony in our bedroom as well as over the inside courtyard. The bathroom view was also breathtaking (window out onto a wall of greenery). While the rooms have heat/cooling, the central courtyard and common areas are the ambient temperature, so I would recommend in the wintertime preparing to wear a wrap/shawl or light jacket, but even then, the staff had nice shoulder/lap throws that were available. The dining at the riad was excellent - we had breakfast and dinner there every day and the food, it's variety and presentation as well as the service were all excellent. We had thought we would go out and try other restaurants, but after our first night there, we realized that we would not be able to find anything better... Our thanks to the staff for a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommend a stay here!!
