    They keep block charges on your credit card account when they shouldn’t and then GASLIGHT the public when they found out

    We checked out of this hotel on 21st April 2026 (today is 3rd May 2026) I settled my account on leaving as usual.I noticed just 2 or 3 days later that they had not released the holding deposit. I wrote to them by WhatsApp and some of messages in return are just out and out shocking. I want to add that they ARE STILL HOLDING APPROX £300 in pending on my account. They have told me that they monitor this and will advise me when it is being released. The old adage from my university days …. “If it can be monitored it can be managed” comes to mind. These people are actively holding funds on our accounts and then by policy gaslight the public for whatever reason they have. I have irrevocable written proof of this. I have been given numerous excuses/gaslighting but as i write this they are still blocking my account. In the last 18 months or so I have spent some 12 weeks in Shangri-La hotels and am a member of their loyalty scheme. They even had the hard face to blame my bank which is a disgrace at the start of this.

    Excellent Club Lounge services at Traders hotel Kuala Lumpur

    We used the Club Lounge services, the concept is excellent and very comfortable. We are satisfied with the food and drink offerings. Would stay again with the same concept and would recommend it to everyone. We saw the pool, but did not use it, because it is covered, and the room was uncomfortably warm and humid. It seems that the lack of an outdoor pool is the only drawback of Traders Hotel. The buggy transfers to Surya Mall are very convenient and save walking under the hot sun.We were accommodated in the Twin Towers View Suite, which is okay, although not particularly spacious. Pros: the bed is huge, the view of the Towers is first-class, the bathroom is spacious enough and functional, the supply of products and consumables is rich, the cosmetics are good. Cons: The furniture is not luxurious and is a bit worn, the rooms are not large and spacious, the hotel is obviously not designed according to the most modern standards for a 5-star hotel. There is a lack of modern technologies and modern environmentally friendly solutions.

    What else could go wrong?Checking in we were told breakfast would be extra - my confirmation said breakfast was included. The room safe was non functional, soap dispenser remained empty, room not serviced and to crown it someone phones at 9:30 pm to discuss my email of complaint. We were regulars here but actively reconsidering.
