    Deceiving appearance

    rating25 Apr 2026

ÉcritureI had a very disappointing experience at Riad Al Amin.First of all, the rooms are extremely small and have a strong sewage smell because the riad is located very close to the drainage system. Unfortunately, the owner has not managed to fix this issue, and the smell gets even worse in both summer and winter. There is also a clear lack of staff and professionalism. One of the waiters is very loud early in the morning, often arguing with other staff members, and he doesn’t speak or understand any language properly, which makes communication very difficult. There is no proper front desk or reception, and the waiters are forced to handle everything—from check-in and check-out to carrying luggage. Hygiene is also a serious concern, as some staff have strong unpleasant body odors mixed with cigarette and alcohol smells. Their main focus seems to be getting tips, even arguing over guests’ luggage just to secure one. There is no visible management or supervision—no manager, no responsible person ensuring quality or order. Many rooms are only accessible through narrow, dark staircases, which feels unsafe and uncomfortable. The food quality was very poor. It often tasted sour, as if it had been previously served and then reused. Nothing felt fresh. Even the bread had a strong yeast smell, and overall the prices are very high for such low quality. The rooftop restaurant is overcrowded, with people constantly coming in and out, making it impossible to relax or even read a book peacefully. The staff there—including the waitresses, bartender, and kitchen staff—seem inexperienced, and the food lacked taste. Service is extremely slow; we waited over an hour just to receive appetizers.Honestly, it is shocking and unacceptable that this place is associated with “Historic Hotels of the World.” It feels misleading, as if they paid for the label to attract guests and charge extremely high prices without delivering the expected quality.Overall, this experience was far below expectations and not worth the money at all.

    Terrible Riad

    rating30 Dec 2025

Absolutely NOT a 5-star Riad. Rooms are down right shabby and they smell terrible. The water smells terrible. The food is horrendous and not cooked by an actual chef. The service is terrible except for the porters who are good. We stayed a few days before New Years and they spent 2 days doing loud construction in the middle of the hotel right under our room for their New Years Eve event - including sawing, drilling, hammering. No apology to their guests and when we tried to call reception they simply refused to answer the phone. My husband approached the owner night before we left to complain about the terrible conditions and demand a refund and the owner told him he couldn’t do any to big because he was the general manager. Do not stay here unless you want to be VERY disappointed!

A feast for the heart and soul

    rating13 Nov 2025

This is such a beautiful Riad with lovely staff! It is my second time here and I was lucky to get the Ambassador's suite which was absolutely gorgeous! It is a feast for the heart and soul - very difficult to go anywhere else once you have experienced the essence of Morocco here at Riad El Amine 😀

    Delicious Food

    rating29 Sept 2025

The burger was so delicious, and the tacos were incredibly good. The restaurant was clean and offered a few different options: indoor seating with air conditioning or outdoor seating with a great view. Our server, Zakaria, was professional and kind, and the desserts were amazing. Such an incredible place, will definitely come back!
