    A nice stay near the Medina with lovely friendly staff

    A visit of 5 nights in March. A lovely welcome and a pleasant room, we appreciate we were out of season but when the sun came out it was lovely to sit on the terrace.Unfortunately there is some building going on at an adjacent hotel but we didn't hear any noise and it didn't detract from our stay.The hamman is excellent and a lovely lady looked after us, finishing with a good massage.The highlight for us was the staff, so pleasant and attentive and my birthday I received chocolates and flowers in the room, then a bowl of fruit After dinner all the restaurant staff presented me with cake and candles and all sang"happy birthday". We shared the cake with them all and had a really lovely timeWouldn't hesitate to go back but we did suggest to Fatima it might be an idea to have another heater in the rooms in winter as the present wasn't quite enough.

    Poor poor experience from the arrival to the check out. Sewage smell the whole night in the bedroom . Small very small shower no place to put shampoo neither soap in the shower flooded bathroom water over bathroom floor , entrance and bed roomAfter showering . Poor breakfast. No butter available. In summary after from been away from home trying to enjoy nice quite vacation we found these unexpected inconvenients that change the image of company country and vacation.

    Loved this hotel. Had the best nights sleep here even though there was a thunder and lightening storm I didn't hear anything. We only stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was large and quiet thanks to Fatima. This hotel does have a pool but we did not go in. Breakfast was continental. Dinner was set as we were with a small group. Would stay again.

    Overall a very good hotel. Our room was impressive, spacious, comfortable everything worked. So traditional, the room was inevitably dark. Staff eager to please, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but fresh and comprehensive. Close to the heart of Fes. Would certainly recommend.

    This Riad in Fez was great – I loved the 2 bedroom suite I had with the sitting room with home baking. Just delightful. The pool was small but freezing, just the way I like it and the staff were also delightful – despite me having to go down and ask them to turn off the music in the hamman at 11.30pm which was right under my room as it was being piped through the air vents at full volume! We had drinks on the rooftop terrace on night and the manager was lovely. Breakfast was not so great – only continental which was plated up in advance – being veggie, I asked for a separate plate of cheese – and the waiter just lifted the meat off the plate and placed fresh cheese when the meat had lain. Not great and we only had bread on the first morning with sweet pastries on the second.
