    Lovely first hammam

    We had a lovely first hammam at Riad rcif. Jihane and Houda gave us a relaxing and memorable experience. They were extremely attentive and adjusted the massages to exactly our preferences. The building is stunning and we had a relaxing time simply enjoying the lovely space with tea and cookies after.

    Riad Rcif is such a welcoming place. It was a perfect start to our Morocco vacation. I felt like I was on a movie set. Every part of this Raid was elegant!

    I rarely write negative reviews, but unfortunately our experience here needs to be shared so others can make an informed decision.From the moment we arrived, the first impression was very disappointing. The manager was abrasive, rude, and immediately confrontational without even taking the time to understand our situation. We were traveling with our two daughters, and our younger one qualified as free according to the hotel’s own website policy. However, he insisted otherwise, provided incorrect information, and actually raised his voice at us during check-in. It was an incredibly uncomfortable way to start our stay.Things didn’t improve. After returning from an excursion, our younger daughter became upset and cried briefly. Within minutes, we received a phone call—not out of concern, but seemingly out of annoyance, as if staff or guests had already complained. The tone was far from empathetic.The property itself also had issues. Upon arrival, there were dozens of flies in the courtyard, which stood out since we stayed at other riads that did not have this problem. Additionally, the second room we booked for our older daughter had multiple issues, making her feel so uncomfortable that she refused to stay there alone and ended up staying with us instead.Overall, this experience could have been somewhat salvaged with basic hospitality and kindness, but unfortunately that was lacking. This riad does not reflect the five-star rating it claims, and I would not recommend staying here.Please consider other accommodations and learn from our experience.

    Stop Researching and Book this Riad Now!

    I don’t want to leave! My husband and I leave tomorrow and frankly I’m ready. This was the best and most pleasurable stay! I arrived frantic and chaotic after a 7 hour drive (that’s another story) somehow I misplaced my passport and wasn’t able to appease my anxiety. The moment Abdul open the door to this majestic Riad I completely melted. Abdul was so kind, gentle and yet professional. His energy enabled me to calm down and reset. He offered us tea with cookies and for a couple of minutes I was able to unwind. I knew my passport was somewhere in my luggage and Abdul asked me to take my time. He’s genuine kindness and understanding allowed me to search through my belongings and I FOUND MY PASSPORT! Breakfast is delicious and vast. There’s so much to eat but I highly suggest the pistachio yogurt paired with fresh fruit and their jams slathered on Moroccos version of pancake/crepes. The orange blossom cakes are a chef’s kiss. The cleaning staff is amazing! I needed clothes laundered and they took care of it by giving me a basket 🧺 by my room.The next best thing was the Hammam with a massage. We were in heaven. Please book a massage you won’t regret it. We would stay here in a heart beat!

    Beautiful Riad but lacks finesse

    We stayed 2 nights here and when you first enter the riad it’s a wow ! The decor is stunning and it is beautifully restored. But when you dig a bit you realise it lacks a bit of finesse which is a shame .It’s situated in the heart of the medina and the room was huge and lovely big bathroom. But the bed isn’t that comfortable and in the bathroom no amenities a part from soap and earbuds! No bathrobe or slippers or fruit bowl like in the photos .The dinner is served in the rooftop where views on the medina is great but the decor is very stark compared to the rest . No plants, no nice Moroccan lamps or comfortable seating. The lights were not soft . No table settings , felt like a cantine .Also there is laundry drying nearby .The first evening service was very slow as clearly they lack staff. Food was nice enough .Breakfast was just put in front of you without asking preferences etc… so such a waste as we couldn’t eat it all . Was decent .The manager tried to keep the clients happy and the staff were lovely.It’s a shame the whole standard doesn’t match the decor .The hamam was decent and Jihane is lovely.
