    Give this place a pass.

There is absolutely no reason to go to this hotel unless you are desperate. It appears to be used primarily by tours and the hotel staff are just are not keeping up with the needs of their guests. It looks as if the hotel was very lovely when it was built - maybe the 60’s or 70’s? But it has not been maintained. The A/C was not working when we checked in; the safe did not work; the bathroom sink looked like it had been cracked with a sledge hammer, the shower fell apart in our hands; the bathroom light was a strobe light half the time; sheers on the window were filthy. Breakfast was pandemonium. The staff could not keep up with refilling the stations so it was hit or miss if we could get food. The two coffee machines were constantly breaking down and even if they seemed to be working, they dispensed hot chocolate instead of coffee most of the time. Your best bet is the omelet station, but it does not open until about 7:30. You can have your clothes laundered and the turn around is pretty fast - by the end of the day. But it will be a really long time before you can pay them for it - close to 48 hours! The rooms facing the street are very noisy. Nice pool, though!

Appalling hotel and Just You must stop using it.

This is probably one of the most chaotic hotels I have ever stayed in and I have travelled in North Africa and the Middle East a lot. The noise for rooms on the road side of the hotel is beyond unacceptable, there is nowhere for groups of friends to sit and enjoy a drink other than the dining room. The chaos at meal times has to be seen to be believed. The staff are stressed and under trained, tables aren't cleared, there is no organisation and the food is barely acceptable. I can only assume those giving rave reviews have a vested interest in doing so.

    Brutal experience

    rating02 Apr 2026

We stayed at this location as part of our Moroccan tour with Wingbuddy. With all of our bus people checked in, my wife and I stood there watching our guide and the hotel desk argue about why we did not have a room. After 30 minutes we were given a key and said the room was a good one. Upon getting to the room we discovered we had no towels. I returned to the desk and was told someone would bring them up once I checked again. I was told to call down if we still did not have them. Returned to the room. No towels. And the phone did not work. Back to the desk. Same answer…we will get some right up. They never came so I took a couple off a housekeeping cart. The food was horrible.I don’t think we have stayed in such a hotel in the years we have been travelling. No service from the hotel. Room outdated. Bathroom was not as clean as it should be. I would suggest that you avoid this hotel completely.

Might be worth giving this one a miss!

A hotel that caters for large groups and so doesn't seem to need to care about service! Restaurant is chaos with undercooked food, lack of table clearace and replenishment of buffets. Badly trained staff with little supervisionl Rooms big, dated but clean but avoid road facing rooms if you want some sleep - relentless traffic noise all night.

Room was large, unfortunately I forgot a coat and sunglasses in the closet because it had rained and I wanted it to dryI forgot it when we left and called a few hours later to report my mistake I was told it wasn’t there 3x (I called 2x and our tour guide called 1x) I was very disappointed for the lack of integrity Ouafae IDRISSI, Service clients/Réception at Royal Mirage Fes, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your stay and for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your disappointment regarding the missing items.
