OK, BUT JUST FOR A CHARMING NIGHT

    rating19 Jan 2019

The place is in a perfect position, near to everything, but away from the most touristic spot of Marrakech. We followed the tip to ask for a room at the first floor and it was great, since humidity is tough. There is no heating, so the first night was cold and dreadful, but after a fight we succeeded in getting a small heater, so the following nights were great. The room was really quaint and the atmosphere was great, though there is no sunlight since the windows are really really small and this makes it a good place just to sleep. The bed wasn’t comfortable at all (sultan room) and the breakfast is quite disappointing, so it’s hard to give a good mark to the place. At the meantime, the whole environment is so particular and beautiful that it makes it hard to give a bad one too. I don’t think I would go back, but I could suggest it for a short (very short) stay to spend in the beautiful Moroccan style. The pool, as already said by other travelers, was empty, but being winter it might be understandable.

    Good Budget Option

Our stay at Dar Narjis was a really lovely welcome to Marrakech. The host was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great and it was wonderful to have on the terrace. The room was comfortable. You can hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque. It didn’t bother us, but if you’re sensitive to noise, I’d recommend bringing earplugs. It was overall a really nice stay!

Typical Moroccan experience and great value for money

Such a wonderful place to stay! Abdullah was extremely kind and welcoming, offering us tea on arrival and even printing our plane tickets before our departure. Our room was beautiful and beyond our expectations!

    Disappointed

    rating13 Jul 2018

We booked this Riad because we wanted to have a good relax time the last night we were going to spent in Marrakech. When we were on our way to the riad, a guy took us through the streets to show us the way even we didn't ask for it. Once we arrived to the riad, we couldn't find it easly since it didn't have a sign on the street or the door. When we finally found it, the took a lot of time to open the door and by that time, the guy was already asking a lot of money for showing the way, and once the owner opened, he didn't help at all, he just standed up in front of us until we got rid of the guy.Once inside the riad, the swimming pool was empty and the patio inside was really hot (you can see it in the pictures). The room booked was nice but old and the thing we liked the most, the bathtube, we couldn't use it since it had damps. The neighnbourhood is quiet but noisy at night, and the whole riad is a mess. It looks like the couple who run it they live in several rooms of the place. A part from these things, we have to say that the breakfast was pretty good!

Amazing place made better by the people

    rating06 Jan 2018

I was originally meant to stay at another property but was booked out at the last minute. I have to say I have no problem with that at all. Dar Narjis is a lovely place, close to the centre of the old city but in a lovely quiet area. What really made my stay outstanding were Abdul and Umaima (sorry if that is not the right spelling). So friendly and welcoming and just could not do enough for you. My two weeks here were relaxing and perfect and I would 100% return
