They Cancelled My Reservation — And Called Themselves Upscale

    rating17 Apr 2026

I never slept a single night in this hotel. Not by choice.I had a reservation for two, April 30 to May 5, booked through Booking.com. I will never know what the rooms look like, because this hotel cancelled my booking without warning, without explanation, and without the basic courtesy of a single word of communication. Here is the timeline, because it deserves to be documented:April 3rd: I messaged the hotel through Booking.com asking for help with restaurant reservations. A routine request. The kind guests make every day. Silence.April 6th: I followed up. This time, I got a response — and what a response. I was told, in writing, that “the concierge will be reaching out to you the week before your arrival,” and that if I needed to speak to someone sooner, I was welcome to call the hotel myself. At my own expense. From another country. To ask for a service they are supposed to offer.I would laugh if I weren’t so angry. The hotel’s website lists no contact email. I filled out the general contact form. Nothing. On April 15th, I tried yet again. Nothing. On April 18th, I sent a message demanding a response. Nothing. And on that same April 18th — while my messages sat unanswered — the hotel quietly cancelled my reservation. No call. No email. No explanation. They simply erased my booking and moved on.This is not a bad experience. Bad experiences happen. This is something else entirely: a systematic, institutional indifference to guests that borders on contempt. Every channel I used was either ignored or nonexistent. Every attempt at communication was met with silence. And at the end of it all, they cancelled on me.A hotel that markets itself as upscale has one fundamental obligation: to make guests feel like guests, not like nuisances. This property failed at that before I ever arrived. It failed repeatedly, across multiple channels, over the course of weeks. There are plenty of hotels in this city. Book any of them.

    XMAS enchiladas in Santa Fe

Decent hotel. Maybe a little dated. Try not to have a room next to one of the exits as it can be loud with people coming in and out of the hotel all night. It’s in a nice area though with great restaurants close by.

    Perfect Weekend of Relaxation

    rating03 Apr 2026

Everything about this place was perfect. Locations. We walked everywhere. They also offered a free shuttle for places within a mile radius. We lucked out and got an end unit room with a patio. It was nice to just sit with the patio doors open. Bed comfy. Thermostat actually responded quickly and efficiently to changes in temp. There was even a filter in the vent! Some car noise in the morning around like 8-9 but that’s when the farmers market was going on other than that it was super quiet. We had a quick and light lunch at the hotel during their happy hour at 4pm. I would 100% stay again
