  This was great stay, this place was immaculate, easy to find and slightly cheaper than surrounding motels. Everything was exactly as advertised (including the 4 1/2 star rating, out of 5 maximum)

  Average stay. The room was a decent size, but worn (the furniture was very scuffed, and the walls needed touch-up paint, etc.). Water pressure in the shower was good, but the water did not get very hot... however, this hotel (like many others) did not have an exhaust fan in the bathroom, so the warm water probably helps to prevent moisture damage as there is less steam. There were a couple of really nice team members at this hotel; unfortunately, the rest acted as if they had no desire to be there. The breakfast area was a good size; the food consisted of typical hotel breakfast items: a waffle maker, premade eggs and sausage patties, cereal, and bread products (toast and bagels, but no muffins). No fruit or yogurt. Coffee was decent.The pool was small, but sufficient, given the ocean's proximity. The gym was a pleasant surprise, offering a decent selection of free weights, as well as cardio equipment. Overall, an average stay. For us, with so many other options in Fort Walton, we will choose a different property for our next visit.

  The staff I came in contact with were very helpful and friendly. I wish I would have gotten their names to shout them out. We had a room on the 4th floor. The hallway smelled like a fragrance covered smoking area. It smelled bad. But, our room didn't have that smell, so I overlooked it. The room was clean, the bathroom was a good size. Everything (microwave, fridge, tv, phone, lamps, coffee maker, a/c) was in working order. The breakfast was yummy. The pool area is enclosed and everything there was clean. This hotel is in a good location to walk to downtown Ft. Walton. My only complaint is that there isn't a hairdryer. The one time I didn't bring one and the hotel didn't have one. But I won't knock off a star because as long as the beds are comfy and the staff is great, I would call this a successful stay.

  Bedbugs room 101. Don't expect a reasonable response from employees. Bedbugs and no remorse. .. the employee threw a bedbug at me. Absolutely no care.i had to speak her native tongue to calm her. She had no care no professionalism no business in customer service. I never yelled or acted mad towards her. It's not her fault there are bedbugs everywhere. This woman should be let go.

  Our county was under a mandatory evacuation pending Hurricane Helene.My 4 cats and I were exhausted having spent 3 1/2 hours driving and stopping at every hotel from Panama City, west. Fabian greeted us with the best news: he had just contacted a guest with a reserved room who did not plan to use the room. Had Fabian not made the phone call to confirm the plans of that guest, we would have had to wearily move on and miss a very comfortable stay at this La Quinta Inn. The hotel also benefitted with an additional booking.In addition to Fabian, we met several welcoming housekeepers and a very conscientious and hard-working breakfast room attendant. Highly recommend this hotel.
