Supposedly 5 Star hotel - more like bottom rung 1 star!

    rating17 Apr 2026

One of the worst hotels I have come across - the carpets in the corridors smell, windows are broken and the A/C doesn't work! When we requested the front desk to get it repaired, they replied " Don't worry, it's not only your room - the A/C in all other rooms is also not working". The shower in the room is designed in such a way that water flows out into the bathroom and you have to be extremely careful walking on the very slippery glazed tiles! Room was not clean when we checked in, the balcony had cigarette butts all over, a lamp was broken and tilted on it's side. Ok the plus side, after we called the front desk, they did send someone to clean the room& balcony and repair the lamp.Anybody visiting Marrakesh - about this hotel!

    Peace in Marrakech

    rating14 Mar 2026

So I'll start with the inconvenient part. As there are two hotels next to each other with slightly different name but same brand. You can get confused.Upon arrival the check in was quick. Was shown to my room and the room was very spacious. There was a balcony, fridge in room and TV. In the bathroom you have a bath and a separate shower. Breakfast is a continental plus a station for crepes and cooked eggs.Resort is very spacious. Lovely big pool also. The staff I talked to are very helpful. Shops are 2 minutes walk away from hotel and a shopping centre about 7 minutes with a Carrefour and other shops. If you want out of the centre of the city to get some peace and quiet but close enough too definitely come here.

This hotel is at most a 3-stars!

    rating18 Feb 2026

This hotel is one of three with almost identical names located close together. According to its own website, it is presented as a five‑star property under the name Grand Mogador Agdal. However, based on my experience, it does not meet five‑star standards.Guests are charged for bottled drinking water, something I have never encountered during previous visits to Morocco. The indoor pool also incurs an excessive fee of MAD 250 per person for one hour, with no spa services included. The hotel’s website provides very limited information about these additional costs.I would not stay at this hotel again. In my view, it merits no more than a generous three‑star rating.-------------هاد الفندق واحد من ثلاثة فنادق اللي عندهم تقريباً نفس الاسم وكاينين قراب لبعضهم.

    Pleasantly surprised

    rating14 Feb 2026

We just took a family break for 3 nights at Grand Mogador Agdal in Marrkech. Before arriving I was very concerned having seen some of the negative reviews, however, we were pleasantly surprised by our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, if not brand new- rooms were clean and spacious. The main pools are large and the pool area is well kept. We enjoyed breakfast and a massage in the spa. Negatives: fridge and tv not working in room - and not repaired despite us reporting. Kids pool and slides not functional (I think due to being out of season), restaurant evening meal massively overpriced and not very nice at all - better to go to one of the cafes a short stroll away. No it’s not 5 star luxury but for the price we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Service was good too - staff all very helpful and friendly.

A tired reflection of what may have been a nice hotel 20 years ago

    rating27 Jan 2026

Attending a large corporate event with my company. I moved from my first room as the lights kept going out after a few minutes depsite being "fixed". The lights work in my second room but the shower doesn't. Many colleagues have moved rooms due to similar issues including traffic noise and ant infestations. I have just discovered ants on my bedside table. The hote is TIRED and in desperate need of some TLC. The carpets in the hallways are threadbare and much of the decor needs redecorating. The hotel claims to be 5 star (i think?) but is barely a 3 star in my opinion. I am only here for tonight and one more night so unless the ants eat me alive, I'm not sure I can be bothered to ask to change rooms again as I will probably get one of the rooms already rejected by colleagues. Very poor. Avoid this hotel unless you want something near the airport with a decent looking outdoor pool.
