    I do not recommend. オススメできない

Very far away from Fna and train station. room is very noisy and very cold (no heating!) .Hotel manager is unbelievable guy. He is a rude guy.If you want to make your Marrakech stay more comfortable , I really do recommend to choose other riad or hotel.Just only expensive.-----フナ広場から遠い。

    Amazing place to stay!!

    rating14 Jul 2015

I have been to La Maison Nomade on different occasions, alone, with family, and friends. I have to say that it is a very pleasant experience. Its located inside the Medina which is great as the Medina is full of life. During the walk to the Riad you come across a lovely mosque, children playing soccer in the streets, a very traditional bath, and a bunch of small stores that sell little carpets and very colorful plates and such. The Riad in itself is very quiet unlike the Medina. As soon as you enter the Riad you are not bothered by the noises from the streets. If you are a person that likes to take some time off and just read a couple chapters of your book or even sleep in a little before heading out to explore the city this is the perfect place for you ! If you want to visit other places the staff at the Riad can help you out and point you in the right direction, they are always very helpful. When we went out to Jamaa El Fna the owners had come with us to show us around a little which was good as there were so many little streets that you're almost scared to get lost haha. As for the food served in the Riad it was AMAZING ! I just couldnt get enough of the cooks food. She was very nice and made you anything you liked. Most of the time we went there we obviously only had traditional food and i could not have been happier! Lastly when you are sitting in the dinning room there is this sort of small dome covering the top of the Riad which i was grateful for as sometimes when it got too hot it would start raining out of nowhere and heavily. This happened when we were having dinner but thankfully we stayed dry ! One thing i would recommend and did enjoy very much and do every time i go there is climb to the rooftop (which you're allowed to do don't worry haha) and you get a beautiful view of all the houses around and the mosque. You can just sit there and enjoy the sun or the nighttime breeze just as equally.

    Comfortable and Friendly

    rating21 Feb 2014

We stayed at the Riad La Maison Nomade for a total of 4 nights breaking the trip in the middle for a desert tour. Mustapha was helpful and friendly and let us leave our big luggage with them for the days we left the riad. The room was comfortable and clean and we had plenty of spare blankets as it was cold at night (February).Mustapha and Herbert both spoke good English and helped us sort everything we needed, although all the hotel info was written in German - but the map we were given of the medina was very clear and Mustapha explained the directions so it was all ok. We didn't eat at the Riad as you had to reserve in the mornings, but we did have drinks there which appeared to operate on a kind of honesty service, which was nice and relaxed. We just settled up at the end for the drinks we had. My only note to Brits is that the drinks are charged in Euros and we settled in MAD which (at the time of writing this) was a bit of a terrible exchange rate for us Brits - but as it was just a few drinks, not the end of the world. When we arrived, we had booked a transfer directly with the hotel and could really have done with a bit more info. The taxi driver reached a dead end at the start of the narrow medina paths and told us we had to get out of the taxi. Immediately a few young men turned up and they all were discussing in Arabic our luggage which left us feeling rather confused and vulnerable as it was quite late eve. Another young man turned up with a sack-barrow and took our bags leaving us to follow but without any real explanation. Not expecting this and not experiencing the chaos of Morrocco before, we were quite alarmed but after a bit of twisting and turning down the streets we ended up at the hotel - very relieved but would have been grateful to have been warned in advance what to expect. We would definitely recommend this riad and would visit again. The only reason we have given 4/5 is really the location. If you didn't book dinner with the riad in the morning, you couldn't eat there in the evening which for most travellers wouldn't be a problem. We were travelling with a child and found a couple of evenings we just wanted a quick snack close to the riad so she could sleep. There was one reservation only restaurant close by and a snack restaurant - which we went to but WOULD NEVER GO BACK!!! The owners brought us lots of dishes we hadn't ordered and when we refused to accept them he chucked them over the table and shouted in our faces. We are French speakers so we knew he had understood us and it was just a scam. But it was quite a frightening experience. We felt safe there though in general and it was just a 20 minute walk to the main square and also the Nouvelle Ville so pretty easy to get to different areas of the city.

    A little gem

    rating07 Feb 2014

This a beautiful little hotel (Riad) in the hear of the old city. The staff or warm, welcoming and extremely friendly. Breakfast each day is different and sufficient to get you going for the day. Highly recommended authentic traditional Moroccan hotel. Here are a few tips:1. We paid 400 MAD for a taxi from the airport. If we had contacted the hotel they would have arranged for us to be collected for only 100 MAD. 2. There is no vehicular access direct to the hotel door (the old town is narrow walkways). Do not be put off by the tunnel like walk to the hotel from the road - or by the groups of young males who seem intimidating but our culture dictates that! It is perfectly safe and the groups are really friendly.3, Some of the groups will inform you the route to the hotel is closed and will offer to take you an alternative route - for a fee. The route is not closed and is a ploy to get money from you. 4. If you get lost someone will always take you to the hotel for money - 10 MAD is acceptable (about £1)In short a hotel worthy of recommendation and revisiting. You will be made to feel very welcome. \check out the roof terrace too.
