Our first hammam.....we'll be doing it again....a lot!❤️

    rating28 May 2025

We had our first hammam experience here, and it was glorious. With English and French spoken, we got by and laughed a lot... particularly on applying the clay! The ladies who were our attendants were kind, warm, and humorous. The warmth of the hammam and the sensation of the soap, scrub, and clay were divine. We had booked a massage each, and this was magnificent, too. We both feel so relaxed, and our skin feels smooth and well hydrated. The oil they use for the massage is argan and of the best quality. We also took a meal - gorgeous salads of courgette, shashuka, aubergine, and a fabulous turnip, orange, and cinnamon mix (utterly delicious). Then, a delicious ground chicken and tomato tagine with couscous, finished with a custard dessert and traditional mint tea.One large bottle of water was included, but a second cost us 40 MD!We would highly recommend this experience, but book directly with the riad. We went through a company and were charged a lot more than the riad would have

Great location but need to improve on guest services and comfort

    rating30 Jan 2025

This Riad is in a fantastic location only a few minutes walk from the old town centre in Marrakech. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We upgraded to a suite and were greeted with a nice cup of Morroca tea. The suite was below what we expected in so far as no hairdryer, no TV, no mini barm, no drinks in our room - even basic hotels usually offer bottled water in your room; (we had to ask for water and were charged), no toiletries in the bathroom. The bathroom was heated by a small electric heater and we only found we had enough hot water for one person at a time, so showers had to be super quick. Luxury in Morrocco is not the same as luxury in the UK. I didn't like the blankets on the bed as you. have no idea how often they are washed and although the bed was clean, I wonder if the bedding was washed - I don't think our beds were changed in our stay and I saw a local company ( laundrette) that was steaming sheets rather than washing. The room was clean, but the lighting dark and I found it hard to work due to the dim lighting. The Wifi was good and reliable.Using the safe in the room will cost you an extra 2 Euros per day. I have never heard of this, as it is usually a guest service and complimentary.Breakfast was very average. No fresh fruit was offered all week which was readily available. We were offered semolina soup and pancakes. The Moroccan pancakes and local honey are delicious but this was all that was offered. If you wanted an extra small glass of orange juice at breakfast, you were charged for it ( never had this before with a breakfast that is included). Local hotels serve a range of delicious fresh orange and cinnamon and banana crepes. By the end of the week we were bored with having the same breakfast every day.The air-conditioning was troublesome resulting in us waking up cold ( we went in January) but was fixed when we asked about it.I felt that this Riad did the minimum for guest comfort and everything seemed to be about charging the guests and keeping things at the bare minimum. It wasn't cheap and compared to other placed I have stayed in the world, it was very average. The outside pool is not heated. Looking at friends who have stayed in other Riads in Marrakech, I felt it fell below the standard we expected for the price. A good hotel but could do a lot more to improve. The hotel staff are what makes this hotel, very friendly and helpful.

    Magical place

    rating07 Feb 2024

A small piece of magic and true hospitality, near the Kasbah center. We have truly enjoyed our time and have fallen in love with the place. 20min walking distance from Djemaa El Fna square. Perfect for people who don’t want to feel “trapped” in the busy streets. Lots of shops and restaurants in the direct area, so felt like a more authentic place to stay and discover. This is the first time I have enjoyed a visit to Marrakesh, so all thanks to the team for creating this experience! The dinners from Najat are DELICIOUS and they have been really kind and caring when I was ill with a fever. The hamam experience was also one to remember, even though the English language barrier was inevitable. She really tried to communicate and explain how it works. Small improvement point: the maintenance of the bathroom could be improved, but it was truly a Moroccan experience. Thank you!

Very nice riad we had a great stay!

    rating04 May 2021

We were warmly welcomed by the owner to a very beautiful riad (especially lovely at night). The owner and staff were very kind. The rooms were comfortable and cosy but there was no wifi in our rooms upstairs (apparently it was currently broken), only on the ground floor. Breakfast was good, we also had other meals at the riad, they were very tasty. The quantity was not sufficient at first but they adjusted to us. In sum, we had a great stay!
