    AVOID AT ALL COSTS

    rating14 Feb 2026

MONT GUELIZ Hotel, one to AVOID at all costs definitely NOT a 4 star, I’d say unrated from my experience, very noisey traffic from 5 way junction throughout the night and got no sleep whatsoever, disgusting hotel, furniture being moved around till early hours, bedding never been changed from many previous guests, was unclean and a very bad odour, revolting small pool and the water has never been changed ever, 3 sun loungers old and rusty, rude staff barely spoke English, musty smell in hotel and in room, mosquitoes everywhere, door handles had missing screws and found it very difficult to open and close, hotel staff operating as thieves, as on 2 occasions around 11pm, we had someone trying to get into our room with a keycard luckily we locked our door whilst occupied otherwise the hotel employed thieves (staff) would have stolen whatever they could find, power went off on one of the occasion’s when the hotel thieves were trying to break into our room, breakfast very basic, you get what’s given and on 1 occasion we waited 50 minutes for the plate to arrive of 2 crumpets, 2 pastries, 2 pancakes. I have stayed in many hotels all over the world but Mont Gueliz Hotel has been one of the worst experiences I have ever experienced, VERY CREEPY STAFF, HOTEL VERY OLD AND DATED, I would never stay in this hotel even if I was offered a free reservation, take my advice from the most awful experience DO NOT BOOK AT ANY COST.

    Marrakech worst hotel to stay

    rating16 Sept 2024

This hotel is the most I have experienced in my whole entire life. Pictures you see are not what you get I have taking some pictures I will post them. This hotel the outside is ok but the inside it horrible. The shower I swear it’s to small and I’m small or medium person anyway else will not fit.

    Do not recommend

    rating09 Sept 2024

The only good thing about this "hotel" is the location which is around 40mins walk from the main square with many good restaurants around. The biggest problem is staff, who doesn't speak any English or French. Their attitude also isn't great although this would not be a problem if everything would be fine. The housekeeping doesn't exist. Room has been sort of cleaned only once in a week. Had to ask for towels in reception. Food basically doesn't exist in the restaurant. No self service and no communication so you get a random thing served with no choice at all. We only tried it once and then didn't even bother going to the restaurant. We didn't expect much from this cheap hotel but it was even worse than we have thought. Kind of hostel experience. Pool at the top is a nice feature as there are no other attractions in the hotel itself. There are many better places in marrakech for similar price so we will never get back in there.

    Basic

    rating19 Aug 2024

Very basic. On arrival we weren’t given a balcony room which had been booked. The receptionist said to come to the desk at 11 the next day and they would move us. So, we went and they said come back the next day at 11. Didn’t appear to have systems in place to know who was in which room when. When we moved, the room was significantly better - and the window locked which the previous rooms didn’t.Breakfast was very basic and the same every day, except for the occasional mix up of yoghurt flavour. WiFi was excellent and the air con worked in the new rooms (poorly in the old).Pool was great, if a bit small.Wouldn’t stay here again.

Worst hotel I have stayed so far in my life

    rating20 Mar 2024

They have low knowledge about the service what to provide for the customer. You have to communicate with receptionist with google translate, because they speak French. If you will buy package with dinner and breakfast, keep in mind that it is setved so late that you most likely won't use it. Dinner was setvzd every evening at different time. I felt down the mountain and damaged my feet, never went for the dinner I paid for and they served me yesterdays dinner other guests had. What the hell? I paid for all weeks dinner and I don't even get todays food, but some old yesterdays refrigerater keeped soaking wet salad and dish that is burning hot. This is the worst service I have had so far in my life and I have traveled a lot. Noone cares about the service. Noone!
