    Absolutely shambles of an experience

    I booked a 3 night stay at Savoy Le Grand Marrakech hotel via booking.com for almost £2000. I must’ve ordered some room service for me & my family members (me, missus, 9 year old, 7 year old & a baby) Soon after the food was delivered & partially eaten I notice blood stains & blood drops all over my hotel room floor in which the children had been walking around & they ate the food. I called reception but they ignored, I waited 30 minutes by calling multiple departments for some assistance but they left us waiting until I went down to reception myself, manager came & had a look, almost instantly accepted liability by saying they would like to refund me the room service. Even they were shocked. Cleaners came in & cleaned the room with strong chemicals which left us all with a severe headache. The experience was a shambles & they failed to provide a service, breached all hygiene rules. If a hotel is charging them sort of prices they can’t be putting peoples lives at risk. Never againContacted the hotel afterwards to make a complaint but after the first response they fully ignored me.

    *Savoy Le Grand Marrakech – 5 stars*We had a fantastic stay at Savoy Le Grand and would highly recommend it. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well located, but what really made our trip special was the staff.A huge shoutout to *Sara at reception* – she was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived she went above and beyond to help us. She has an amazing work ethic and would do her utmost to sort out anything we needed, no matter how small. Her warm, efficient service really set the tone for our whole stay.Also thanks to *Mohamed at concierge* for being so helpful with organising our transfers. He liaised with the transfers team on our behalf.Great hotel made even better by great people. We’ll definitely be back!I would like to add a small gripe that they don't change the bedding only the pillowcases.

    Really nice staff, location, rooms and facilities. however, as other reviews say, there is a lot of construction which makes it a bit of an eyesore. the outdoor pool is huge but it’s only open from 11-7 which isn’t ideal for early morning or late night swims. there is also music blasting extremely loud which you can’t even escape in your room, that would be okay is the music was good buts it’s like very popular old songs made into a dj/rave version which isn’t appealing. furthermore, i wouldn’t go here if you have young children as there is constantly people smoking cigarettes and shishas wherever you go. Also the sunbeds by the pool are often full so there’s nowhere to tan. Apart from that, it’s connected to the medina mall with great facilities and a supermarket beside it. the staff are very helpful and kind which is pleasant. the rooms are serviced daily to a high standard and are very clean and spacious.
