    Well I was put in this hotel as close to jaguariuna, arrived late and was quickly issued a room, I was shocked to see a bathroom that had plastic padded toilet seat, something from the 70s I think, from what I seen the placed was completed dated and needs dragging in to the 21st century, the staff were very nice and helpful Paulo Cestari, Gerente geral at Matiz Jaguariuna Hotel, responded to this review Prezado Sr. RobertAgradecemos seus comentários, referente a tampa do vaso escolhemos este modelo para conforto para quem usa e principalmente pela durabilidade, pois o modelo seco ocorre muita quebra e rachaduras onde ocorre acidentes com os hóspedes ao sentar.Obrigado pela sua estada conosco.Paulo CestariGerente Geral

    Rooms with mold

    The terrible problem of this hotel is to have the rooms with strong presence and smell of mold. It has a good breakfast. The location is not useful for those who want to visit the city of Jaguariúna. The hotel is on the roadside surrounded by nothing!     Great value in an unlikely location.

    This hotel is adjacent to an expressway and isolated from the small city of Jaguariuna. However, the hotel is a good, basic (not luxurious) hotel with a very good restaurant. The restaurant offers (most evenings) a buffet option in addition to a menu. O compared to American hotels in the same market segment, the Matiz Jaguariuna is a great value.     I have stayed in the Matiz hotel a few times in the last few years. The hotel is very basic. Nothing is luxuruous but despite being a basic hotel the service and price/quality report is just fine. Good bed, good pillow, good shower, OK breakfast, staff is helpful, the place is clean.     Matiz opens its restaurant for non guests also....its a classy, clean and tasty "all you can eat", with top deserts and season fruits included!
