A good place to stay - especially if you speak french

    rating16 Feb 2019

We stayed here for 5 days. First check open dates for spar. We didn't!NOT in main tourist bit which is spice market BUT in more Moroccan area. Car drops you on street and you walk 300yds to Riad through market. That is Moroccan market. For Moroccans. Lamb. Chicken. Veg. Fruit. Clothes. Bread. Didn't sample anything as too worried about water quality. But felt safe. Riad. Beware if you don't speak french! Owner speaks so-so English but does NOT live there. There are two staff. Both wonderful. The cook and the maid. Both very very helpful and kind and always with a smile. We loved both of them.Dinner at 20 euro each was a pleasure and you could buy alcohol and drink it there.Overall a very very positive experience only marred by the owners inadequate english and lax replies to email.

    Wonderful stay

Lovely people working here! Everyone is open, welcome and good people. The Riad itself was filled with beautiful details and we loved staying there. No problems during our stay. To go to Morocco - stay at a riad, not a hotel! Thanks for us - we will be back.

    A Great Place to stay

    rating26 Dec 2018

When we arrived the first night we had pre booked dinner. The dinner was excellent. The breakfast every morning was very tasty and enjoyable. I liked how the housekeeper remembered what i wanted for breakfast every morning. The room was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable and slept very well every night I was there. I liked the balcony upstairs, you could relax up there the sun was shining and it was so peaceful it was as like you were not in a city at all as the place was like as if it was sound proofed. The Manager of the riad brought our bags up to our room which was nice as there was no lift. They had the hotel well decorated.I was not able to communicate with them very well because they had very little English, and no German. I didn't feel like at home more than likely because of the language barrier. The atmosphere was very poor. The welcome we got could have been alot better, but it didn't stand out, as it was just ok. Nothing was explained to us for example we didnt know how to work the heating system, or how to work the safe to lock up your personal items. No shower gels were provided or no hairdryer. You need to know basic to moderate french to have a good conversation with the owners, as they don't speak english very poor if they do.

    Wonderful and friendly Riad

    rating11 Nov 2016

We had a lovely stay here for one week. It was a friendly peaceful atmosphere and the housekeeper is wonderful. My partner is a coeliac to which they had no problem accommodating breakfast for, although the selection could have been a little better. Once outside you walk straight into a local market which we actually quite enjoyed as it is the real Marrakech!
