  Horrible and dirty

  I was only one night here. The location is extremely bad and inside is dirty and smells extremely bad. The rooms are small , pillows and bed covers are old, in the bathroom you cannot flush the water properly. Overall is not a good place.Take my advise and dont waist your money on this Riad Calista.

  Note: Hosts of Riad Calista also manage Riad Inaya.We only stayed in this riad because Lastminute.com messed up our booking at another further north nearer the busy part of the Medina.On arrival the staff seemed surprised we’d arrived at all and told us that we would be moving to another riad for the second two nights of our four night stay. Despite trying to find out about this second riad we were ignored, they had no pictures of th accommodation, nor would they tell us where it was. When we requested to delay city tax payment for the nights until at least seeing the accommodation the staff got very aggressive. We were left in limbo for two nights with no answers. It later became clear that we were being pushed out so they could host a party in the riad for New Years which they were charging €80 a ticket for. The day of the move we had to fit around their schedule which meant wasting a morning of our trip waiting around. We were then walked to the second riad (riad inaya) which was a 10 minute walk even farther south away from the center of the Medina. We were told we would not be given a key to riad inaya and had to knock and rely on our new hosts to collect us (a couple that spoke no English at all). The inclusive breakfast started off okay (cold coffee and undrinkable mint tea) and ended as bread with jam. We were provided no soap, the sheets had stains on them and we had to ask for toilet paper. Enjoy disappointing and really tarnished the enjoyment of our holiday.I could say so much more but wont - just avoid.

  a taxi cannot bring you to hotel. taxi drops you off and you have to walk 1000 ft thru alleys. hard to find hotel. in kasbah area. no places to eat nearby. when we arrived, they did not honor our prepaid in full reservation - had no rooms.

  The Manager Family is hosting two Riads. Therefore thy are switching betweent two houses in which they also live in. The hosts are extremly polite and helpful. No matter what you want or like, all of them are open minden and want to support you. My frind and I wanted to go out for a drink, although they don´ drink any alkohol, like most national, they advised us some bars, and offered us to go and by alkohol for us in the supermarket. Also they waited for us at night to come back, and stayed awake till 2.00 pm. The breakfast was delicious. Tee, coffee sweets anf fruits were changing every day. They rooms are really nice and beautiful. We had fresh towels daily. We went to Marrkesh in December, at night it got cold, but inside the cupbourd was a heating we used all the time. So if you want to have a really good time, with all the freedom to do what ever you want, to get supperted without predjudice and to live in a familian atmosphere where people care about you and try to afford you the best time of your life, you should stay at Riad calista.

  This hotel is amazing clean and very central to riad and the square everything is within walking distance and the staff are very friendly they couldn't do enough for us I highly recommend to stay is very clean big and homely we will be returning agin for longer on our next visit to Marrakech rooms are very big and comfortable
