    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

    rating16 Aug 2025

    # ⚠️ AVOID AT ALL COSTS: Le Florian Cannes - Bait & Switch Scam, Unsafe Conditions, Ruined Our Family Holiday**Rating: ⭐ (1/5 stars)****DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE - You've been warned!**I'm writing this review to save other families from the nightmare we experienced at Le Florian in Cannes. What started as a 5-night family holiday with my husband and 7-year-old quickly became a disaster that left us in tears and ruined two days of our precious vacation time.## The Bait & Switch ScamDespite booking and paying for a HOTEL ROOM, we were told upon arrival that "none were available" and were forced into a filthy apartment across the street. The receptionist seemed utterly unbothered by this massive error - no doubt because this is their standard practice to avoid turning down bookings.## Unsafe and Uninhabitable ConditionsThe apartment was nothing short of dangerous, especially with a child:- **No security**: Building doors left wide open for anyone to enter- **Exposed electrical hazards**: Uncovered fuse box right by the bed- **Broken appliances**: Hairdryer marked "DO NOT USE" - safety hazard- **Structural dangers**: Cracked, moldy shower tiles you could cut yourself on- **Fire hazard**: Overwhelming cigarette smoke smell throughout every room, even coming through vents## Absolutely Disgusting Living Conditions- Dirty, smelly corridors leading to the room- Filthy transparent net "curtains" instead of proper window coverings - Years of grime on shutters and windows- Wonky, falling-apart furniture- Unsanitized shower curtain from previous guests- No proper lighting (broken bulbs)- No full-length mirror, existing mirror mounted too high to useStench of smoke throughout the apartment. ## Zero Sleep, Maximum NoiseWith no real curtains, the room stayed bright all night. Add constant noise from restaurants below until 2 AM, then delivery trucks and staff starting at 5 AM - we got virtually no sleep.## Staff Attitude: AppallingThe elderly owner sang at me mockingly when I tried to address concerns. Another staff member patronizingly told me I "couldn't get annoyed because we were in Cannes" and dismissed our legitimate safety concerns as "just a little problem." Zero accountability or customer service.## The AftermathWe were eventually moved to Hotel des Congres et Festivals after one horrific night, but the damage was done. No assistance with luggage, no goodwill gestures, just complete indifference to ruining a family's holiday.## Final VerdictThis place is uninhabitable - I wouldn't house my worst enemy here. It's more comparable to a homeless shelter than any legitimate accommodation. The only positive is the location near the beach, but that's meaningless when you're staying in unsafe, unsanitary conditions.**Save your money, your safety, and your sanity - book literally ANYWHERE else in Cannes.***If you have any standards whatsoever, you will not stay here.*

Great gem of a hotel in Cannes

    rating08 Jan 2025

Really well run hotel moments from the beach and in one of Cannes beautiful streets. We arrived and were way early than the usual 2pm check in and were greeted with a warm welcome and said the room was already ready for us. The staff were brilliant. The room was super comfortable and very clean. The window overlooked one of the busy night spots but noise level was not bad!Loved this small hotel and will definitely come again5 star review

    Our stay at Le Florian

    rating17 Jul 2024

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Le Florian. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and smiling. We enjoyed the breakfasts of big croissants, pains au chocolat and baguette with jam and butter. Excellent location near the sea, the shops and the restaurants and the train station.

This hotel blew us away! Affordable yet amazing!

    rating21 Feb 2023

Wow! This hotel was absolutely amazing and one of the best on our whole Europe trip. It is a family run hotel so we appreciated that the staff were always so helpful in telling us what to do & where to go. Always someone on the front desk and they suggested the most amazing seafood restaurant to us one night and an Italian restaurant for the next night. The room we had must have been recently renovated as the bathroom was new & interior looked new! We were on the top floor with an incredible view over the shops/restaurants below and could even see the ocean from our balcony. Perfect to sit out there with a drink so ask for room #20 if you stay here!!! The hotel also has an elevator which can be hard to find in Europe so that was a bonus. And LOCATION!!! Can walk to everything. The only thing we could fault was that the bed was not the most comfortable, but for what we paid we were absolutely blown away by this hotel and cannot fault it. I have been recommending it to all family & friends! We will stay here again in a heart beat.
