    Negative points but great potential

    rating24 Apr 2026

I’m fortunate enough to travel the world for perspective.Initially, we were not impressed with this accommodation. Just looked a little bit run down, leaves around just missing initial presentation. We had the last room which was room five stairs up to our room had an old town and litter on them and the next day the room along the corridor was being renovated as were the stairs which made going past not the best experience. The room was clean, but the blanket on the bed for display was old as were the Bath robes which we didn’t wear but couldn’t help noticing that they looked like they wereover 10 years old! Towels weren't the best hit either. We had three black moths in our room and some mosquitoes which put us off considerably. HOWEVER- This Riad was definitely a grower … the breakfast was wonderful. The pool was cute and had a nice bar area although quiet when we were there as I think it was the beginning of the season as lots of maintenance work was ongoing around uswhich didn’t go down particularly well when I was snoozing! It’s cute this place, we saw the deluxe rooms and they looked lovely and I think our experience would’ve been much more positive. This Riad is very Moroccan and has the potential to be so much better so easily. As it’s a small property, I think it would’ve been nice for the owner to come and introduce himself and chat to us which over to much prefer doing rather than on here. The location is perfect. Down a few alleyways like most of them but very safe. We really liked the people of Morocco very friendly, not pushy. Even though this review is slightly negative I think that if the property had been ready completely for its guests and we have been in adifferent room then I probably would have said that it had the potential to return to.

The owner is a real treasure.

    rating14 Feb 2026

The owner at Riad Chergui is a real treasure. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she is a joy to talk with. She went out of her way to help us several times. The riad is lovely and the food very good. She had great recommendations of what to see in Marrakech and how to avoid the typical tourist downfalls. I felt she really cared about us and wanted us to have the best experience possible. emmanuelle lebeault, Directeur général at Riad Chergui, responded to this review Dear Gail,Thanks a lot for your fantastic review!!All the staff was very happy to welcome you!We really hope that you will come back soon to visit us again.Enjoy your dayAll the bestEmmanuelle & Radouane

    Fabulous Riad to stay

    rating21 Jan 2026

This Riad was our perfect choice from the location, amenities, service and value point of view. Although it was rather cold and rainy during the our stay the staff made sure we had plenty of blankets and that the aircon is working on heating mode and we also had a small electric heater. On arrival we have been greeted with a traditional mint tea and local home made cakes. The room was spacious, although it had only very tall double doors we didn’t feel cheated about having no windows. It is a basic traditional authentic Riad with tiled floors, and high ceilings, it was very clean, the bedding was lovely and fresh towels every day. Nothing was too much for the staff, they were very accommodating, kind and always with the big smile , even when Morocco lost against Senegal in football. We would highly recommend this Riad and we would return for sure. emmanuelle lebeault, Directeur général at Riad Chergui, responded to this review Dear Beatrix,Thanks a lot for your fantastic review!!All the staff was very happy to welcome you!We really hope that you will come back soon to visit us again.Enjoy your dayAll the bestEmmanuelle & Radouane

Nice Riad very near medina and main square.

    rating26 Dec 2025

Very kind staff; Rooms were quite clean. Exellent location for walking to the medina. Riad was difficult to find and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues; narrow and steep open staircases to rooms. Moroccan breakfast served family style in the mornings. Riad is quite chilly in the winter months - probably lovely in the hot weather. Shower water pressure was excellent. Rooms really need more electric outlets; we could either charge our phone or have the light on. emmanuelle lebeault, Directeur général at Riad Chergui, responded to this review Dear Jennifer,Thanks for your mark and comments. All the bestEmmanuelle & Radouane

    Great Stay

    rating19 Oct 2025

Great stay at this Riad Excellent breakfast every morning and I must give a mention to the cleaning ladies they were fab.We also had a great massage from the lovely lady who works thereWorth every penny .The location is also very good close to most of the attractions .The only thing would be for me is to change the sun beds after breakfast as they aren’t ever in the sun but that’s just my opinion . emmanuelle l, at Riad Chergui, responded to this review Dear Cayman! Thanks a lot for your very good review and comments!!All the staff was very happy to welcome you.We really hope that you will be back soon to enjoy another stay with us!Have a lovely dayAll the bestEmmanuelle & Radouane
