    Amazing people and cool building

    rating12 Mar 2026

Very cool traditional building. Staff were all lovely and accommodating and the breakfast included is amazing. Its location is ideal for walking around central Marrakesh. It is a pain to get taxi’s to however and locating it for the first time was a challenge (might have been a skill issue). Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the old city.

    Three stars, not four

There's a lot to like about this guest house, it's an attractive and relaxing place and overall we enjoyed our stay. However, the website overstates the level of quality and facilities offered, and as a result we left the hotel/guest house feeling a bit disappointed. We paid 660 euros for a double en-suite room for 6 nights, and although it's close to the centre of the Medina in Marrakesh, I don't think the facilities offer great value for money. For example - the website offers a "private, indoor swimming pool', but in reality this is a small hot tub, somewhat inconveniently located in the reception area next to the kitchen. The 'Spa and Massage centre' is 2 small, dark and windowless rooms, which do not suggest a relaxing and comfortable experience. The photographs shown on the website are definitely not the actual rooms available. The "exceptional" breakfast (served on the roof terrace) is adequate, but repetitive and without much variety, basically offering bread or pancakes with jam or triangles of processed cheese. Sometimes yoghurt is provided, sometimes fruit, but this wasn't provided every day. Coffee is available, in a large thermos, but this doesn't maintain the temperature or flavour very well. Several times there was no coffee/sugar available when we arrived at breakfast, and our request for refills took 15 minutes, or one is obliged to go down 2 flights of stairs to reception to get it.The rooms themselves were comfortable enough, and the decor is tasteful, but our 'view' was actually a pile of rubble and a semi-demolished building. Some of the fixtures in the room where broken, for example faulty window shutters and wobbly shower fittings. The towels were changed every day, but were rather threadbare and poor quality. The website had also offered tea/coffee making facilities, but these were nowhere to be found either in our room or in the reception area. There was also no provision of the bathrobes or alarm clock as mentioned on the website.Having said all this, we enjoyed our stay in Marrakesh. The 2 concierge staff, Mohammed and Moham, were very welcoming and helpful. However, if I were to return to Marrakesh, I wouldn't stay here again.

    Would not recommend

    rating21 Mar 2025

Booked this place as I wanted to experience something different rather than standard hotels. The place looks tired, it’s not clean at all, there is no light in the bathroom, bugs in the room, they also have a cat onsite which we found hiding in our room. Breakfast - no comment. Breakfast served outside which would be okay in the summer. We travelled in January and it was absolutely freezing. You get served a pancake/crepe, pastry and jam. Also, the area is not the safest but a good location, walking distance to most attractions or the meet up point for excursions.

    Beautiful Riad, lovely helpful staff

    rating14 Mar 2025

Beautiful Riad 10 minutes from the medina / square The location - tucked away down a small street 2 mins walk from the taxi, we were met by Mohad, helped with bags then served us water, mimt tea and showed us the main places on a mapOur room - traditional, comfy, some noise from the mosque and call to prayer, good shower, cleaned daily. Food - in the riad, breakfast prepared and cooked by Latina was gorgeous and plentiful. The staff - all fantastic! Mohad, Ishmael, Latifa and Mohammed they are the best asset of the riad, they couldn’t do enough to help us After returning from a full day tour Mohammed provided mint tea by the open fire - perfect ! Dangerous - Negligence accident at Riad Dama & spa

    rating02 May 2024

Do not book Riad Dama & spa- Negligence accident Booked Riad Dama & spa from the 6th the 11th of April with my 9 year old son we were playing on the terrace and one of the metal tabletop wasn't fixed to the base, when I leaned on it ,the whole thing lifted up ,broke my front tooth in half and hit my chin as well .My son and I were in shock. Following that the owner only agreed to covered some meals we had at the Riyad (approx £30) plus the Moroccan dentist who was one of the employees friend (approx. 20-30 euros the employee told me). I still had to pay the whole booking cost to them. My insurance didn't cover for dental . Back in the UK, I had to see a dentist as I was still very much in pain now when he tried to adjust a composite the Moroccan dentist did, the whole thing came off. I had to pay for that plus other dentist consultations. When I complained to the Riad Dama & spa owner , they told me I broke their table and the owner refused to accept negligence and compensate for anything. Even though I complained, Booking.com did not investigate anything and did not offer compensation( except £40). The owner also put my booking as ‘No show’ while I stayed until the end of my booking. The owner is obviously really dishonest and it's a dangerous place to stay at. The table top could have damaged my face or hit my sons face. Please do not book this riad if you want to be safe.
