    Best Riad in Marrakech

    rating12 May 2026

The location was perfect, and the room was spacious, clean, and quiet. I absolutely loved this place! There’s art everywhere you look, which gives the hotel such a unique and beautiful atmosphere. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout my stay. The breakfast was wonderful as well — delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I would go back in a heartbeat! Riad Dar Saad, Dueño at Riad Dar Saad - Hammam & Spa, responded to this review Hello DanieleThank you so much for this beautiful review 😊Reading that you would return “in a heartbeat” truly means a lot to all of us.We are very happy that you enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the riad, the spacious and quiet room, and especially the artistic soul of Riad Dar Saad. Art, design, handcrafted details, and warm spaces are a very important part of the experience we try to create throughout the riad, from the patios and pools to the rooftop café, restaurant, boutique, and our hammam & spa Les Bains Ninon ✨It is also wonderful to know that our team made you feel welcomed and comfortable during your stay, and that you enjoyed the breakfast prepared fresh every morning.Thank you again for your kind words and for choosing Riad Dar Saad during your time in Marrakech. We truly hope to welcome you back very soon for another peaceful stay in the heart of the Medina ☀️The Riad Dar Saad Team

Avoid at all costs – Food poisoning and unjustifiable treatment of ill guests.

    rating12 May 2026

We booked 6 nights but had to leave early due to the worst treatment I have ever experienced across 30 countries and 100+ stays worldwide. On day 3, I fell ill with what appeared to be food poisoning. I said nothing at the time - I didn’t feel it was fair to make accusations without certainty. Two days later, my partner, who had eaten nowhere outside the riad in the interim period, had the same omelette I’d had before falling ill. Within hours, he was violently sick for the remainder of the day and even night. The next morning, I respectfully raised the issue with staff - not to seek compensation, not to make accusations, simply to flag a potential concern so other guests wouldn’t suffer the same experience. What followed could not have been more distressing.I was met with immediate, flat denial, spoken over repeatedly, and reduced to tears after days of illness, feeling completely dismissed and exhausted. I also felt completely outnumbered as there were 4 of them and questions were only demanded with the aim of proving me wrong, rather than to understand the situation. Instead of pausing the conversation to offer basic human compassion, the owner Jean Claude began rapidly talking over me to his family in French (including swearing) apparently assuming I wouldn’t understand (I did). When my partner later calmly objected to how I’d been treated, Jean Claude became shockingly aggressive: shouting over everything that was said, calling my partner a liar, and threatening to call the police with absolutely no basis whatsoever. The lowest point: as we were settling the bill Jean Claude and his daughter began mocking my distress and tears, doing impressions and calling me a drama queen for having food poisoning on holiday!! I was in complete shock from this as it was an unacceptable way to talk to anyone in any circumstance. They also taunted us with the implication that we were trying to get everything for free, despite no such suggestion from us at any point. To be absolutely clear, we left early due to poor treatment and paid the complete remaining balance in full without question. This incurred the additional expense of a new riad and it was worth every penny in order to be able to leave Riad Dar Saad.As we left the riad the daughter shouted after us, threatening we would have difficulty leaving the country, implying they would alert the police/ passport control. An absolutely disproportionate reaction to anything we had said or done.I have genuinely never experienced anything like this. Two people, calm and unwell, asking only for acknowledgment, met with aggression, mockery, and humiliation. Stay elsewhere. I urge you to look through any negative reviews on here and Tripadvisor and read the tone and denial with which they are responded to, and how many times guests have unjustifiably been threatened with the police. That is not even the tip of the iceberg. Do not take the risk of this happening to you, stay elsewhere. Riad Dar Saad, Dueño at Riad Dar Saad - Hammam & Spa, responded to this review Imaginary patients or talented actors, but pathetic scenarioThank you miss and young man for this lamentable pseudo Italian-style drama. Should one laugh or be distressed by such behavior. As much as the crying scene followed by the one of indignation that you displayed in front of the reception may have seemed believable for a moment, as much your scam scenario is not.You seem to have forgotten that it was the same reception staff who brought to your room your fast food and kebab orders that you placed via the Glovo application. You write and claim, "this is not to obtain compensation or to make an accusation...."AH! no ??? yet it is indeed at the moment of check-out and at the moment of payment, for the spa treatments and extras of your terrace consumption (you were in good health at those moments) and to claim nothing, but.....All of this could be funny or perhaps a game, if behind all this, behind this shameless lack of respect toward the staff who work, and who dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to providing the best service to real guests, who praise it throughout their reviews, this clientele who works all year to afford and appreciate these moments of happiness.Should we or should we not rejoice in this still existing selfish and individualistic freedom which consists of living easily off small scams and petty behavior without concern for the real work and daily worries, causing real harm to people who work every day trying their best to bring satisfaction.Trendy pseudo influencer, easy criticism, trivialized virtual tools, it seems that you have chosen to live trying to take advantage of the system, but we would like to thank you for mentioning the first name of Jean Claude and of his daughter and his son, yes the Riad Dar Saad is a family guesthouse, revealing the permanent commitment to the quality of the stay in this place of life between sunny terrace, personalized suites, hanging garden between calm and rejuvenation, planted patios, convivial lounges where fireplaces offer pleasant and peaceful evenings where families with children, couples and visitors who appreciate art and beauty, peacefully enjoy these moments of relaxation punctuated by the presence of a sleeping cat or the leisurely wandering of a tortoise, other guests of our house....

    excellent Riad full of history

    rating04 Apr 2026

The Riad is an amazing place within the Medina in Marrakech - not accessible by taxis (but this is clearly stated in their website and comments). The staff are very welcome and professional, friendly and with great hospitality. The Riad itself has great history, many traditional features, clean and well maintained. Plunge pools/ pools were nice and refreshing. Internet works well. Breakfast was reach and with traditional specialities and served on extended hours. The same with dinner, excellent variety and extended menu, restaurant atmosphere is really nice and open until late. A special thank you to Abdul who made our experience as a family unforgettable. Riad Dar Saad, Dueño at Riad Dar Saad - Hammam & Spa, responded to this review Hello Anastasia,Thank you very much for your beautiful and detailed review. We are truly happy to read that you enjoyed the atmosphere of the riad, its history and traditional features, as well as the comfort and cleanliness of the space. Your kind words about our team and their hospitality mean a lot to us.As you mentioned, the Medina is a pedestrian area, which is part of its charm and authenticity. We always provide clear information in advance, and the riad is located just a short 2-minute walk from the nearest drop-off point at Dar el Bacha, in an exceptional and central location. We are also very pleased that you enjoyed the pools, the quality of the Wi-Fi, as well as our breakfast and restaurant, with fresh dishes prepared on the spot in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It is wonderful to know that you had the opportunity to experience our hammam and spa, as well as our boutique, which are both part of the riad’s universe.Thank you again for your trust, and we hope to welcome you back very soon.Kind regards,The Riad Dar Saad Team

Beautiful Riad - very comfortable and wonderful staff

    rating01 Apr 2026

This is a beautiful Riad - clean and comfortable with stunning decor. We stayed in the family suite with teenagers. Breakfast is generous in the elegant dining area. We also enjoyed some sunbathing on the roof terrace where there is a plunge pool. The hammam experience is great - and fantastic massage. The Riad staff are very helpful and assisted us with all our transfers - to airport and to atlas mountain hotel - as well as activities. Also highly recommend the cookery class and museum visit at Musee Culinary Art in Marrakech. The Riad location is near some good restaurants- Le Jardin and Cafe Arabe (both need advance reservations in busy months) and great coffee at Simple Coffee down the street. Riad Dar Saad, Dueño at Riad Dar Saad - Hammam & Spa, responded to this review Hello Isabel,Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review — it truly means a lot to us.We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay in the family suite with your teenagers, as well as the comfort, cleanliness and the overall atmosphere of the riad. Your words about our team are especially appreciated, and we are very happy to know we could assist you with your transfers and activities to make your stay as smooth as possible. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast, the terrace moments under the sun, and the plunge pool, as well as your experience at Les Bains Ninon with the hammam and massage — a true moment of relaxation. We also really appreciate your recommendations around the neighborhood. As you mentioned, the location of the riad is indeed one of its great strengths, allowing easy access to some of Marrakech’s most beautiful spots, restaurants and cafés, while still offering a peaceful retreat.Thank you again for your trust, and we hope to welcome you back very soon.Kind regards,The Riad Dar Saad Team
