Fabulous Riad in the heart of Marrakech

    rating20 Apr 2026

We booked a 2 night/3 day stay direct with the Riad, our transfer from the airport was arranged by Francoise, and as confirmed our driver was waiting for us just outside the arrival area, the journey to the Riad is around 20 minutes, we were then met at the nearby carpark by Hanane (think that is how it is spelt!) who showed us to the Riad, we were given tea and cake and lots of helpful information and a map, which was very useful. The Raid is lovely, we had a room on the ground floor, it was perfect for our stay, it was very clean and had everything you would need, the air-conditioning was great bonus. We booked a Hammam and massage with the Raid and this was fantastic. We took advantage of the pool on our first day as it was very hot and we had a busy day, was just what we needed to cool off and relaxThe Riad is within close distance to all the main tourist attractions, no taxis needed! although it very close to everything, once behind the main door the hustle of the nearby streets can not be heard and its a little oasis from the madness! We had breakfast on the rooftop area, this was lovely. All the staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome, we met the owner on our last day and again she was very friendly. We would highly recommend the Riad! francoise ANSQUER, Propriétaire at Riad El Grably, responded to this review Thanks a lot for your kind commentwe have been really happy to recieve youhappy to meet you again on our house

    A lovely hidden gem.

    rating28 Mar 2026

A hidden gem behind a small door in an alleyway. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay and couldn't do enough for us. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. We had it on the rooftop which was lovely. We enjoyed spending time up there in the evening after being out exploring all day. The pool was perfect for a nice relax and cool down. We didn't use the hot tub or massage service but others did and enjoyed it.We met the owner and had a really nice chat with her. After returning from a hot air balloon trip she remembered we'd said we were doing it and as soon as she saw us she asked us all about it. (Amazing by the way) We were close by to plenty of palaces, souks and restaurants. Most places walkable or the hotel taxi can be used which was a great service and he was very friendly. We'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. It was recommended to us and I'm so glad we chose it. francoise ANSQUER, Propriétaire at Riad El Grably, responded to this review thanks a lot for your kind commentwe have been really happy to recieve you and to help you to discover marrakechhappy to recieve you againregardsfrancoise

    rating18 Jan 2026

perfect stay at this beautiful riad great location right in the heart of marrakech and only a few minutes walk to the medina we was greeted with traditional moroccan tea and a brief welcome meeting including a large map with additional info explained nothing was too much trouble myself and my partner booked for a hammam and massage on the afternoon we arrive whilst the hammam is small it was lovely and the massage was so relaxing the rooms are spacious and fully equipped with tea/coffee making facilities a hairdryer is also provided in the rooms a/c and heating is also available the shower is super hot and powerful we had breakfast each morning which was really nice including tea/coffee/fresh orange juice pancakes, bread, cheese, honey and jams finished off with fresh fruit and yoghurt breakfast in bed was also a great touch the riad as a whole is really clean and welcoming just a tip if you do plan on staying out late please make the staff aware as they can give you a key to let yourself in as you do leave your room key at reception on leaving the riad and have to ring the bell to re enter thank you again for your hospitality we would definitely recommend francoise ANSQUER, Propriétaire at Riad El Grably, responded to this review thanks so much for your kind reviewwe have been really happy to have recieve you in our house

    Beautiful and Charming Riad

    rating03 Dec 2025

Such a lovely experience. The Riad is beautifully designed, the staff are welcoming and friendly and the whole ambiance is delightful. Breakfast was simple but delicious, breads, cake, fresh fruit, yoghurt and pancakes. They have their own Hammam and Layla was wonderful. The room was spacious and spotless and we had our own terraced area. Thoroughly recommend staying here. Francoise Ansquer, Propriétaire at Riad El Grably, responded to this review Bonjour. Welcome to the Tardis…..!

    rating13 Oct 2025

A visit to Marrakesh has been on the radar for a while. We wanted an authentic stay so opted for a small “Riad” rather than a hotel but with SO many to choose from, how do you make that choice. The reviews for the “Riad El Grably” on TA are consistently very good but would the description and pictures be anything like the real thing🤔Having recently returned from a 5 night stay here, the answer is most definitely yes and it deserves this in depth review.Communication with Francoise (owner) before arrival was excellent. Our flight landed around 11am and following about a 20 min transfer from the airport, we (3 of us) were met in a nearby parking place by Hanane who insisted on carrying the girls bags on the short walk back to the Riad, “ first left, first right”.It was like entering a Tardis. Behind that big brown door lies what instantly felt like a cool and calm Oasis, far from the hussle and bustle of just a few minutes ago.Our bags were taken to our rooms while we sat drinking mint tea, listening to the comprehensive brief then a tour both given by Hanane. Our rooms on the first floor were spotless and very comfortable. We chose to take our breakfast on the rooftop terrace. It was a sweet affair and more than enough to set you up for a busy day exploring. We took the opportunity to chat with Francoise on a couple of occasions, it would appear she had the same dilemma as we did when choosing which Riad, not to stay in but to buy! In our opinion her skills and vision have resulted in an ongoing renovation that not only oozes moorish charm but is uniquely stylish.Eating out for us turned out to be a bit hit/miss, we did a bit of research before arriving and had a superb lunch at “Amal” (separate review) which is a non profit organisation that you can find out more about on google. Also just a stroll away from the Riad on the way to the main square is the Cafe/restaurant “La Porte Du Monde” (separate review). You can sit out at tables on the pavement here and people watch till your hearts content or enjoy the colourful roof top terrace, both of these places are recommended👍🏻 The main El Fna square is a totally different place during the day to what it is in the evenings when it is absolutely buzzing with local musicians and eateries. Sadly we picked one where all the meat tasted like lighter fuel and the bill turned out to be the most expensive “street food” we have ever had, hey ho🤷‍♂️We dipped in the pool, relaxed in the hot tub and did treat ourselves to the small, very private Hammam where Laïla expertly washed and exfoliated us, followed by a 1 hour full body massage which was delivered with the right amount of pressure by 2 lady masseuse👍🏻Trip wise, one evening we did the Camel ride/Quad bike/dinner & fire show with Starry Morocco tours, excellent VFM and well enjoyed (separate review.)Taking a TukTuk tour from the nearby “Mellah Square” where there are several eateries) to the main “El Fna Square” plus the old and new Medina’s was great fun but not for the faint hearted🫣!Sure, there will be other Riads, each unique in their own way, offering similar high standards but we all agree we were more than happy with our choice. All the staff are happy to be a part of this “family” and nothing was too much a problem. We would be very happy to recommend, whether you are a culture vulture or just want a chill out in lovely surroundings.“Merci Beaucoup” to all🤗 francoise ANSQUER, Propriétaire at Riad El Grably, responded to this review Thanks so much for this review. So kind of you. Happy you spend a good stay with us
