We asked for airport transfer. 40 mins later no taxi . Tried to call the raid.nunber wasn't working. Ended up taking to a random taxi man outside the airport who managed to call the Riad. We then got in this man's taxi. Not really know what was going on. Arrived at a hotel, slight confused as no where could we see the name of our riad. Then monwar (ceo of the riad) as he introduced himself pop out told us there was a complication with our bookesing the room wasn't ready they was to put us up in a sister hotel for the night including breakfast and then we would pick us up next morning. With additional charge to us.So what could we do . We went along. Location of 1st riad was amazing was a basically apartment but fitted the bill. Next day we then arrived at the riad..... not actually realising how far out it was.About 30 mins walk from jammel el fin square. Not the 10-15 everyone seem to say. You will be going down dark allys so be careful it's in and amongst a poor area. Tho I didn't feel unsafe just awear of the situation and not to draw too much attention. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome. Welcome mint tea on roof. Lovely enough. For the duration the stay we didn't have any stable hot water. So 2 of us always had freezing cold shower. We reported it told it was fixed and it wasn't. So when we booked out spa treatment we was ensured all was fixed with the hot water... It wasn't so a cold spa treatment . I felt really sorry for the last who was doing put treatment and u could see she was too very annoyed about the situation. Once u get your barring the walk to and from the square or that directions isn't bad at all. It was a nice please to stay id just be awear it's more rual and hot/lukewarm is not always a given. We didn't eat here just had breakfast which was fine pretty standard. All in all a Pretty riad but not all facilities where available which hindered the experience.

From ok to bad to ..finding another place to sleep, not every place in morocco has fleas!

    rating13 Jul 2017

The staff is very nice and welcoming. Unfortunately the Riad has seen better days and most of it is in various stages of decay. Our room seemed at first very impressive, then we noticed that they were airing the mattresses on the roof and for a good reason. The place is covered in fleas. "But every hotel in Morocco has fleas" was the excuse. I hope not! Management seems not to care about the place and despite the efforts of a young and welcoming team of local staff, this is not a place I would want to set foot again.

Riad Jnane Agdal was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend break in Marrakech. The Riad is beautiful and the staff and customer service was second to none. I would happily visit again and recommend this Riad to anyone.

    Amazing place, amazing hospitality

Great place to stay, felt safe in the neighbourhood the whole time. Amazing rooms, design and authentic Moroccan Riad feel. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, went way out of their way to help us. Makes you feel you are really at home rather than in a hotel etc... Had its own swimming pool in middle of Riad, Rooftop terrace etc. Very clean, housekeeping staff very friendly. Rida, Ayoub, your legends. Thank you.

    The area is very bad

    rating05 Mar 2016

The staff is very nice, the room are nice size but very dark even with light on..and so cold we had to ask another blanket but we had 3 freezing night in march. A heater should be there.. The breakfast is OK but having a fake orange juice is a shame when you know the price of a kilo of orange in marracheck... The area is bad... You feel not good walking around. We had to call a taxi always ... The another side of the Medina is really more safe... This is a very poor area, and in the night strange people stay, and can be intimidating .... Rooftop is nice but only four bed to lye on the sun it is not enough with so many customers.....
