Moroccan fairytale in the middle of Medina
09 Jan 2026
We are so happy we chose Lalla Aicha for our holiday week in Marrakesh! It was our first time in Morocco and we really wanted to find a nice cozy place where we could feel like home. And Lalla Aicha was just like that, it exceded our expectations! The overall experience was amazing, from closeness to the main square and main attractions, souks, palaces (and you really dont want to get lost in the Medina), to wonderful service from all the guys in riad (I must mention Ayoub who was at our service all the time on Whatsapp for absolutely everything, transfer to and from airport in a nice car, late night food, listening to our breakfast needs, organizing excursions according to weather conditions, all other recommendations, providing us with additional towels, drinking water, they even helped me find my earing that I tought I lost). I must mention a nice kind woman also - they were all treating us so nice and organized everything we need. The interior of the riad itself is beautifully authentically decorated and breakfast can be organized on a rooftop overlooking the Medina or down in riad next to your room when you dont feel like going out. I will miss nice moroccan breakfast every morning. The bathroom is also authentically decorated, with a nice smell of local musk/amber showergel you can enjoy. I also tried a hammam in the riad and the experience was amazing. The beds are comfortable and warm, mine had a beautiful view to the atrium in which you can hear the sounds of birds singing in the morning. Guys have very good taste in music, too, so we could hear some moroccan music during our stay. We cuddled with a cat in riad that gave us even more welcoming feeling. The pool is very well decorated. Next to the pool there is a little bookshelf where you can enjoy some interesting books, too. We were on holiday in January so heating was important for us. We had air conditioner in the room and it could be heated very well. The Wifi was very good and available all the time which was very important for us because we were constantly uploading videos and photos of our experiences. We were so happy we chose this riad and we hope to come back soon. All the ambient, Morocco iteself, it just felt like you didnt want to leave the place...

Sewage smell and bad rooms
19 Dec 2024
First, it was difficult to find the place as the address is wrong on booking.com. I had to call the phone to find it. Then knock a door for awhile for someone to open the door. The door is not marked as Rias, just a sign on the corner. The staff is almost never at the reception, I wanted to book SPA treatment, but it was literally impossible. The receptionist didn't even explain where and when is the breakfast ot wifi, nothing just gave the key and offered tea, which I refused since I had to pickup up my luggage from storage. The first room was stinking of sewage (no elbow under sink and it has nothing to do with rain as they claimed as it didn't rain for weeks) and heating didn't work, so I had a terrible night of sleep waking up at 6am cold and smelling like sleeping in a sewage. After complaining in the morning (as no one at reception) they offered another room, which was clearly inferior quality, but at least no faul smell. The new room had half sockets falling off and half not working properly, waiting for an accident to happen (especially if you're traveling with children). The bathroom doesn't even have soap for hands nor bathrobe as advertised. From all list what advertised they just had a pool, towels, shampoo and hair conditioner with hair dryer. Nothing else is there as advertised, no fridge l, no iron - nothing. After I wrote a complaint on booking system, they texted me at 10pm on WhatsApp, offering again to change the room. Since I was tired and in bed already I refused to move ky luggage one mor time (c'mon to a third room in 24 hours!). Also I was offered a beer, like it would fix all the problems. Also new room had poor curtains and couldn't block the light from inner yard and the bed was not double, but two single beds togywith a wornout mattress with a dip in the middle. I had a terrible back pain after sleeping on it. So second night was also a terrible sleep, but at least I had heating. In addition to that, bathroom looked really worn-out with stains on the floor everywhere, tap fixations moving around exposing holes on the wall. After showering all water was ending up on the floor in entire bathroom (both rooms).Breakfast was good, but nothing exceptional just one pancake, some breas and fried egg. There was construction noise, so it was impossible to rest during day (since I had awful sleep a night before).Yes it has a nice pool and a good location, but that's pretty much it.I was really looking for a good experience and Spa to relax on my last days in Morocco and it really disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the staff is generally friendly, but just unprofessional. Check other reviews and see if there's is a pattern of foul smell and giving inferior rooms.

10/10 Location
15 Feb 2020
This little Riad is in the centre of Medina and few minutes away from the Jamaa El Fna square. The room was comfortable with basic amenities and the staff were very friendly. Abdellah made sure we were happy and he was always making us laugh. We would definitely recommend this riad and will be back again.

Great Riad ideal location
23 Jan 2020
We stayed at this riad in January, check in was easy, our room wasn't ready so we were given tea on the roof top terrace while we waited.Room was very nice and extremely clean, I would advise ladies to take a hairdryer as our room didn't have one. The room was on 1st floor and overlooked the courtyard as did all other rooms.Breakfast was very nice and filling, a good start to the day. You get... Orange juice, yoghurt, coffee or tea, olives, honey, bread, eggs, morrocan warm bread and cake.Staff very friendlyThe riad is in the heart of the media, great for exploring. If you get a transfer from the airport then take small change (2 euros) for a porter as you will get lost in the streets and alleys trying to find the riad.We booked a local guide through the riad for the day, highly recommended. All in all a great find.

Very nice staff & localization but poor installations & comfort
08 Nov 2019
We were very happy with the staff they were taking care of my daughter and pregnant wife. They always look to have you happy and help you. At the end of the stay I had a price from booking and they told me if I want to pay with credit card I have to pay the bank commissions. The toilet was with shower broken, the hot water tap was getting hot so u couldn’t close it without a towel. The smell (from the pipes I think) in the morning was horrible. The pillows were very hard, there was a lot of light inside of the room in the morning. we rented suit and we were with our 3 year old daughter, there was no space to put luggage just a cabine. There was not a seat inside of the room just the beds. The breakfast is sufficient but nothing special if you ask for cheese they will give u this triangle packages. The “Spa” is a bed to do massages!
