    Lovely friendly welcome clean room and very close to explore the souks

    We stayed here for 1 night as part of a package through Voyage Prive. It’s very close to be able to explore the Souks and main square so a great base to be if you want to go exploring yourself. Room was clean and staff v friendly. A warm welcome with Moroccan mint tea is common in the Riads. Don’t let the way in via slightly dodgy alleys put you off. Behind the door of this and other Riads you will find warm clean and surprisingly calm sanctuary after the bustle of the rest of the city

    Very gracious staff. Excellent location. Comfortable room. Good price. Youssef and Jamal provided excellent service and were very responsive to our needs. The rooms were nicely appointed and the typical Moroccan breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay in Marrakech !

    We had a great experience at Riad Laora. While you can’t exactly reach it by car, it’s centrally located with the medina within walking distance. It’s beautifully decorated and gives such an authentic feel. They offer 24 hour service which was nice. The food that we had there was delicious too. The best part of our stay was the staff. Karim, Aziz and Khalid were fantastic! They were attentive, friendly and extra considerate. They go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is comfortable. I do have one complaint; the spare bed in our room was extremely uncomfortable. It should be replaced with a nice mattress. It seemed like just a box spring. Aside from that, I was very pleased with our stay here!

    My girlfriend and I stayed from the 7th of March to the 14th of March. We got the airport transfer through the Riad, a nice man picked us up from the airport and dropped us off near the Riad, where Ashraf greeted us and kindly carried our bags. The Riad was excellent, great rooms and rooftop terrace. 24 hour service. We had breakfast every day, and also ate dinner there on some nights. The food was amazing - thank you to the chefs. Room cleaned every day. Staff very helpful, and we booked excursions through them too which were great. Idris and Khalid were brilliant and made us welcome at all times. Great location - close to everything, and safe. They also arranged a transfer back to the airport on our last day. We intend to come back at the end of the year - hopefully Corona does not affect this amazing Riad.

    The riad itself is in a decent location and the breakfast was alright. Also special mention Khalid, who was present during most of our stay, was lovely, friendly and always provided excellent service - he was just about the only good thing with this riad. However the bedroom was dark, as most lights had broken, and dirty with stains on the bedsheets. Unfortunately this was the least of our problems as we booked a transfer from the airport through the riad for when we arrived. Despite looking for ages the taxi was nowhere to be seen and we had to spend ages negotiating with taxi drivers at the airport getting off to an uncomfortable start to our holiday. When we arrived at the riad, Khalid was very apologetic about the inconvenience caused. However on our last day when we were checking out we were greeted by the owner (who we hadn't met before) who demanded we pay for the taxi that never showed up! obviously, we refused and he started getting aggressive towards us. On top of that, we had to settle the tourist tax which was charged in euros but we wanted to pay in local currency which is 10 dirham = 1 euro. Having been out all day we came back to the riad to pay it with the exact amount being all our money left, however the manager suddenly changed it to 11 dirham = £1 leaving us short by a few pounds, however the manager was insistent we couldn't leave until he had ripped us off and was being very aggressive and rude to us.
