    Uncomfortable and aggressive

    rating03 Jan 2025

Avoid this Riad. There are plenty of more welcoming and hospitable riads in Marrakesh. The room was freezing cold which means sleep is difficult in this condition, you can hear all the people entering their rooms in addition to random guests mistaking my door for theirs at 4am. The host is unhinged, gets abusive and aggressive when confronted with constructive feedback is given. Like I said there is many nice Riads like riad Kasbah - go there and you’ll get a true Riad experience.

    A genuine rustic gem

    rating04 Nov 2023

This Riad is a genuine rustic gem! A true relic of times gone by. Located in the Medina with it’s colour, noise and mayhem and yet so quiet and tranquil at night. Our host Christophe was excellent and very accommodating even in the early hours of the morning on arrival and departure! Nothing was too much trouble for him. The breakfast was delicious.

    Riad to avoid

    rating24 Aug 2023

Our accommodation was not so good. There were two of us: a guy and a girl and the man who takes care of the riad never looked me in the eyes and I found it really disrespectful towards women. We went out 3 days in the desert for an excursion, paying this nights in the riad, and when we came back the cleaning had not be done, there was no no toilet paper and we found the shower hose disconnected so we couldn't wash up ourselves. The air conditioning didn't always worked only telling it to the keeper twice he fixed it because the first time we tried to say him he watched us like it was not his problem and it has been very tough as the hot weather in Marrakech in August.Personally I'd no suggest this riad. For sure there are better ones and with more comfort too.

    Excellent

Although it is situated in narrow streets so you have to walk to it, it's proximity to Jemma el Fina is excellent because you are out of the noise but only 5 minutes walk away. You need not worry about the narrow streets as there are plenty of tourists walking them so you won't feel isolated ior uncomfortable and you will be given a map. The host is extremely helpful and will tell you anything you need to know. He will also get you anything you need and seems to be available all the time. Excellent continental breakfast served 8.30 to 10.30 (I turned up first morning at 10.45 and no problem)Everything was clean including rooms. Remember it's a Riad and not a hotel, although I would choose it above the average hotel for personal service and the ambience of staying in a Moroccan authentic Riad.Experienced traveller.

    Our first Riad

    rating14 Aug 2019

Our first visit to Marrakech, myself, wife and daughter. Despite us arriving in the early hours the transfer from the airport was seamless with the friendly greeting at the riad from Saeed. The Riad was tasteful, clean and quiet. It was an ideal distance from the Medina for it to be easily accessible and to make a welcome and cool bolt hole when the temperature inevitably soared in the afternoons. Aircon was an option in the room but despite the daytime temperature the suite was cool by night.Lovely staff and a lovely introduction to Marrakech.
