    Although the hotel confirmed my airport pickup, no taxi was waiting on arrival. The biggest issue, however, was the payment process. I repeatedly asked to settle my bill during my stay, but the staff kept delaying it. On my last night, my card was finally charged successfully and the amount was debited from my account.As I was leaving the next morning at 3:30 am, the night staff refused to let me go, claiming I had not paid. Even after showing proof of payment, the owner/manager, Mr. Nasreen, insisted over the phone that I pay again. After 15 stressful minutes, I left carrying my luggage on my own while staff followed and pressured me, even telling the taxi driver that I had not paid.To this day, there has been no apology, despite the payment clearly going through.It’s a real shame, because aside from this incident, I had an otherwise great stay.

    Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend

    We were very disappointed with our stay at Riad Nasreen, as it fell far below expectations.On arrival, we were downgraded because the riad could not provide the double bed we had booked. Despite receiving a lower standard room, no refund or adjustment was offered, which was frustrating.Unfortunately, noise was a major issue throughout our stay. The owner played loud music late into the night, and on one occasion around 11:30pm, furniture was being dragged around on the rooftop, making it very difficult to sleep. There was also drilling and hammering during the day due to ongoing works.The atmosphere also didn’t feel guest-focused. Staff and the owner frequently used the common areas, including the rooftop, for their own meetings, which made it uncomfortable to relax in shared spaces.In terms of facilities, the pool was dirty and not usable, and the shower temperature was very inconsistent, switching between too hot and too cold.To make matters worse, I emailed the riad several times regarding these issues and received no response.Overall, this was not the peaceful or welcoming stay we had hoped for, and we would not return.

    We had a fantastic stay at Riad Nasreen. It is truly an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the Medina. The staff is extremely dedicated and professional – special mention to Khalid, who always has a smile on his face.The team also helped us with our airport transfer, and our rooms were cleaned daily. We really enjoyed the breakfast, which featured a variety of delicious Moroccan breads and cakes each day.It was our first time staying at a riad, and the highlight for us was being able to relax on the beautiful terrace before or after our city adventures. We can honestly and wholeheartedly recommend this lovely riad.

    A Lovely Riad

    A lovely place to stay, it is within easy walking distance from all the things that the Medina has to offer, but is in a quiet backwater and quite peaceful. There's a taxi rank 5 minutes away and we employed someone to take our bags first time and this helped to find the place. When we arrived we were immediately made to feel at home, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.The roof garden is secluded and has a pool as well as a shaded area, along with the sun beds.We had breakfast every day and ordered an evening meal and all the food was wonderful.If you're looking for place to stay in Marrakech I would highly recommend

    A wonderful Riad

    A beautiful Riad with friendly staff, a warm welcome and a perfect location for exploring the centre of Marrakech. The staff really do make a difference here - attentive and happy to help. They sorted excursions out of the city and arranged hammams and massages for us. The rooms were kept spotless and the breakfasts every morning were delicious.The location itself is ideal - a mere 10mins walk into the heart of the Souks, with the closest tourist 'spot' of Bacha coffee along the way. There are a range of restaurants and shops on the street outside of the Riad too. From the rooftop terrace you can view the Atlas mountains and the Koutoubia mosque is visible too.Our week-long stay here was excellent, and though we loved exploring Marrakech, it was reassuring to know we had this wonderful Riad to return to every evening.
