    A disappointing stay

    A disappointing stay overall. We booked a junior suite and found ourselves in a small room without heating in either the bedroom or bathroom which is an issue on cold nights and mornings in March. The room was on the top floor which was noisy in the morning as it was next to the breakfast kitchen and also completely lacking in privacy. The furnishings and decor have all seen better days. The meal we booked on our arrival night was very disappointing and breakfasts were poor…… no fresh fruit and heavily reliant on carbs. On the positive side, the riad was kept clean, there was always plenty of hot water for showers and it’s very well located, being only 20 minutes walk to the main square.     Just wanted to thank Ibrahim, Ayoub and Ashraf for their hospitality. My husband and I stayed for 7 nights, and the room was very comfortable, beautiful decor, and the staff including the room attendants were great. I would recommend it to anyone looking to experience the old part of town.     Really lovely little Riad about a 10 minute walk from the souks. Really comfortable beds a huge breakfast and lovely staff. There is a nice rooftop terrace and communal areas, and they can also provide dinner if you tell them the night before..We had a wonderful stay.     Good but missing the extra touches

    We recently stayed at Riad Pachavana and had a pleasant experience overall. The riad itself is charming, but some areas are starting to look a little tired although everything was clean. The rooms could benefit from more lighting. Decent location. Breakfast was reasonably good, offering a decent selection to start the day. The staff and managers were all very friendly and welcoming, but it seemed like many of them were new, which led to a bit of disorganization at times. For example, our massage appointment was booked incorrectly, though they were very apologetic about the mix-up.One thing to note is that we had to pay for a few things in cash (massage, hammam, taxi), which wasn’t made completely clear ahead of time—this would have been useful to know in advance as made things tricky when checking out. In hindsight, It probably would have been more efficient to communicate with them on their WhatsApp number rather than face-to-face. This might have avoided any confusion with times/prices etc. While our stay was enjoyable, we felt that the extra touches and high level of service we’ve experienced at other riads were missing. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay with a warm atmosphere, Riad Pachavana is a good choice for the price, but don’t expect a truly polished, first-class experience.
