    We had an amazing time, felt completely safe, and really enjoyed the whole experience. I would definitely recommend staying here.For anyone visiting, there’s one small thing I’d encourage you to do: on the main road before turning down the alley to the Riad, there’s a stall where you can buy a small bag of cat biscuits. Please consider picking one up for the cats that sit in the alley near the Riad entrance — they’re incredibly grateful. If you can, please also refill their water bowl with fresh water. It’s a small gesture that can make a big difference.

    This was our first time visiting Marrakech and were a little apprehensive at first but wanted a different experience holiday. We booked through Tui and what a find we had! We were greeted by Mohammed at the gate to the Medina and he took us down the small alley to our Riad. Was a little daunting at first but once inside it was amazing. Such a beautiful Riad and only a 15 min walk to the main square. Mohammed was instrumental in helping us navigate our way around the Medina . We had book The Majorelle Gardens separately but needn’t have because we did the next two (Atlas Mountains and Agafay sunset) with Said . He was a second to none guide! We even met his family … very special! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left our experience at Riad Shaden was perfect. An amazing retreat from the sensory overload( in a nice way) of the Medina. Will definitely be back. Thank you , Sharon

    Riad Shaden is a fantastic choice if you’re looking to experience an authentic Marrakesh stay in a spotlessly clean traditional Riad in the historic Medina area - great value for money with the most attentive, friendly and helpful staff! It came highly recommended and certainly didn’t disappoint! I visited with 2 friends to celebrate a special birthday and we had a lovely triple room which was very comfortable and traditional Moroccan style. The staff team were very helpful both before and during our trip - responding quickly to emails booking airport private transfers, all day city tour and a great sunset dinner trip to the Agafay Desert. From the moment we arrived at airport until returning, we were so well looked after and the food throughout our stay at the Riad was so fresh and delicious! The Riad is tucked away down an alley within the Medina and as soon as you enter the door you are greeted with a lovely, quiet, oasis of calm with only 6 bedrooms in the Riad and a lovely central courtyard downstairs for relaxing and dining in, a separate lounge area and lovely rooftop terrace with sun loungers, tables/chairs and separate seating area to relax and enjoy at any time of the day in the sunshine. The staff team during our stay consisted of Mohammed, Said, Amal and Sana and what a wonderful team they were - we couldn’t have asked for more! We loved our stay and would definitely recommend. It was great and reassuring to know we could arrange any tours and transport direct with the staff in the Riad and I look forward to going back and booking more trips in the future! Thank you to all at Riad Shaden for the best experience we could have enjoyed on our first visit to Morocco!

    Lovely, safe feeling stay

    We were greeted at our transfer by (isma) I think that's how you say his name. He was lovely and very accommodating. Transfer could only drop us to bab aylan. It's about a 5 mins walk to shaden. The hotel was so nice and I felt safe. Has sun terraced and the guys who run it (mo) made our stay lovely. Breakfast was laid out with pancakes, cakes, baguette, bananas, yogurt, honey, jam etc. tea, coffee and fresh orange juice.Call to prayer was at 5am woke us the first night but didn't wake us again.Some children followed us a bit asking for money, but nothing we couldn't handle.

    Amazing stay in the heart of Marrakesh. The Riad Shaden didn’t disappoint. From the moment we got picked up at the airport and stepped inside the door we felt at home. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and tidy. We arranged our airport transfers direct with the Riad team. We also had some amazing excursions, again all arranged and booked with the team before we arrived in Marrakesh. We would highly recommend the cooking lesson in the Riad, the Agafay dessert sunset dinner inc quad biking, the Ourika valley and waterfall. We also arranged sunrise hot air ballooning which is a must. Thank you to Mohamed, Imad, Said, Amal and Sana for an amazing time which will live long in our memories. We will hopefully return sometime and would love to stay at the Riad Shaden again.
