    Decent!

    rating30 Dec 2017

On our 1st day the Internet connection was so bad! Subsequently it stabilized! Decent breakfast is served every morning! Don’t expect an elaborate one! Generally clean! Not too far from Jma Al Fnaa! 25 mins walk! A few affordable eateries around the vicinity too! The passage way to the Riad May look deserted but it’s safe! There’s a 24 hour security guared guarding all the riads in that lane! They have rooms on the rooftop too! The Riads in Fes are much better in my opinion!

    Dishonest staff but good location

    rating20 May 2017

The rooms are nice and the location is really good but check your bill before you go as the stuff will try to add additional 'taxes' apart from the city tax. Also, do not eat in the hotel as they will charge you over £20 but couscous and do not let them organise a taxi or anything for you as it will be a rip-off and there are taxis everywhere. Do not think they have a swimming pool either it is just a tiny square of cold water although this was not a real issue for us. DARFTOUMA, Responsable relations clients at Riad Dar Ftouma, responded to this review Dear Guests,It is with surprise and big concern that we received your note on tripadvisor.Let me just point out that this is really not fare to judge an hotel like ours, We have a very good reputation as you can noticed on tripadvisor or other sites. We like to have our guests feel at home. It is the first time ever that we received such comments, and accusations giving some mis information on our Guest House. And we wish to correct this.Let me first point out that the additional taxes that you are refering to is the CMI transaction fees for CB payment. Which is stipulated in our booking confirmtion and is the regulation here all over Morocco. No others fees (except the taxe de sejour ) and CMI fees have been applyied on your invoice. We furthermore do not understand why you are complaining on a couscous since you did not even had diner at our place. We are trully sorry that people like you tend to destroy the reputation of hôtels for no real reasons....Please note that we will report this abusive comment to tripadvisor because it is undermining the reputation of our hotel by telling thing that are absolutely not true. The Team of the Riad Dar ftouma.

Very adorable riad in a perfect location

    rating05 Apr 2017

This riad was just perfect for our stay. It was north from Jemaa el Fna (the main market place) and only approx 15min walk from it. Easy access and walking distance to many Marrakech sites (for example the main market, hammams, mosques, shopping etc) The location was quiet as this riad was not on a main street. If we walked back to this place in the evening, there was a police/guard following us from the main street until we got back safe. The room was cute and clean, quite small, but had all we needed. The room was decorared beautifully in Moroccan style. The riad itself was also very cute and clean with a nice rooftop terrace. Staff was super nice and friendly, always smiling and very helpful. We did few day trips and had to leave early in the morning so they were happy to serve us breakfast earlier as we asked for it.Could not have asked for more!

Fair price, clean, far from the noise with a nice terrace!

    rating04 Mar 2017

For those who are not seeking an luxurious place. I like this riad because it's in the medina or downtown of marrakesh. Plus it's located next to a police station if you are worried about security. The place is clean, the staff is nice and help you if you are in troubles. They offer a delightfull breakfast. It is next to a local bakery if you want to buy a snack for the day. It is far away from the lousy plaza but everything it's near walking distance. At the roof there is a terrace were you can spent your resting time. I would definitely come back to stay there if i returned to marrakesh

Small, Quiet Riad in the Heart of the Medina

    rating22 Jan 2017

I cannot praise this Riad enough! The staff working at the hotel treated my father and I like family. They were so kind, so helpful, and wonderful people. One of the workers actually took us to Jamaa el'Fna Square to show us around. The rooms are a decent size, but extremely charming, and quite traditional - air conditioning, TV, and internet. The inside of the Riad is gorgeous, and it is very nice and quaint. The rooftop patio is also a great place to lounge in the evening, and tan during the day, with a nice dip-pool. The food at the Riad is to die for. I 200% recommend everyone to eat here. My father and I ate here all the nights of our stay, and we were always 100% satisfied. Their tagine is world class. The only thing you have to watch out for, is that the hotel is cash-only. Other than this, I have nothing but praise.
