    Fantastic location for Christmas Markets

    rating16 Dec 2025

We stayed at Ibis Styles Colmar Centre in December 2025 to go to the Christmas Markets in the area. What a great location! Very close to the markets in town. We were doing day trips to other cities and the staff were VERY helpful calling to get current bus schedules.Breakfast was good with a good variety. The only minor negative is the room was small. Part of this was that the ceiling is angled, like staying in a dormer or attic. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, but a little small. There was no dresser either. But we were here for a 3 nights so it was acceptable.Highly recommend it for the location, price, cleanliness, and friendly & helpful staff.

    Cosy in Colmar

    rating13 Nov 2025

We stayed in this hotel for five nights in mid-October using it as a base for exploring some of Alsace. The hotel is in a converted brewery, part of the brewery is still undergoing conversion but this did not affect us at all. It is situated adjacent to the Old Town and within easy walking distance of the railway station, bus station and much else in Colmar. We arrived by train and the walk with luggage for two elderly people from the railway station was no more than 20 minutes. There are taxis available. There are only four car parking spaces at the hotel and these, as we understand it, must be booked, but the hotel offers a special rate for the underground car park across the road. It has 47 rooms. The hotel presents no difficulty to wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility.Entry to the hotel is directly to a reception desk only. To the left of the desk is a comfortable bar with soft seating. To the right of the desk is the breakfast room. The hotel serves lunch and dinner although we took neither. There is a single lift but the hotel is only three storeys high. Our room was a standard room on the second floor on one of the rear corners – it therefore had a double aspect although without any remarkable view, but we believe that no room has a particularly scenic view. This is a city hotel and it is encircled with other buildings. The room was warm and comfortable with a small table, a single chair and a pouf. There was an adequate open wardrobe and a safe. The bed was extremely comfortable, and whilst the room was not large it did afford a separate WC to a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Toiletries were sparse and towels were standard Accor. We experienced little noise from inside the hotel and none between rooms, but the road alongside the hotel is busy and during the evening and night we could occasionally hear traffic. Both wifi and aircon were good. The aircon is centrally controlled but on a room by room basis. Housekeeping was fine.We only took breakfast which was a buffet style with more appeal to continental Europeans than to the British. Vegetarians were catered for. The only hot food was self-boiled eggs and toast. All that said the food was good quality, with a good choice of bread, croissants etc and some very nice local cheeses. And some excellent cakes. Whilst we understand it serves other meals the hotels proximity to the centre of Colmar means that a wide range of restaurants and bars are easily accessed. Staff were unfailingly professional, friendly and attentive. Most had acceptable spoken English. Breakfast was in the hands of one capable person per breakfast and the bar was rotated between a number of staff, all of whom were pleasant and efficient. We did not experience any package tour groups during our stay but there were a number of informal groups – sometimes families, sometimes workpeople - which could make for difficulties in the bar but otherwise there was no impact. This is a comfortable, well located, well run economy hotel. We would definitely stay again.

Great option in a central location

    rating24 Jul 2025

I really appreciated this hotel. It's a great location to explore the town itself, and also close to the train station, handy bus stops, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. I thought my room had a good size and layout, especially for European cities. I wasn't a big fan of the breakfast but that's really a personal preference thing—there was always yogurt and fruit but it generally felt a bit skewed toward pastries/cheese overall. It's still convenient to have onsite, especially if you're heading to other towns and want to eat fast.

Good location, comfy rooms, fabulous staff

    rating24 Mar 2025

This was a great place to stay. Just on the edge of Colmar old town, 5 minutes walk to the church. There is easy parking in the underground car park just across from the hotel, with a discounted rate. The hotel is a mix of old buildings, our attic room was quirky with beams and a lovely view of old rooftops. The bed was very comfortable, nice shower. Good breakfast. The best thing were the staff, extremely friendly and welcoming. The guy who checked us in gave us directions to various restaurants which were open on Sunday, he could not have been more helpful.Great location, comfortable rooms, excellent staff. Would certainly return if we're back this way. Nice two night stay with the family

    rating03 Mar 2025

We stayed in a family room, the entry was in the courtyard, super easy for the luggage. The room is on the small side when you are with 4. The sofa pulls out to two single beds. Neither bed was really comfortable but the kids didn't mind. The breakfast was good - nice choices with hot and cold dishes and the breakfast room was comfortable. The service was very good, especially from the front desk. Location is really super of this hotel. We would return. Ibis Styles, Service clients/Réception at ibis Styles Colmar Centre, responded to this review Dear Renee, Thank you for your kind review! We’re delighted that you enjoyed your stay in our family room and found the courtyard entry convenient for your luggage. It’s great to hear that you appreciated our breakfast selection, the comfortable atmosphere, and the excellent service from our front desk team. We understand that space can feel a bit limited for four guests, and we also take note of your feedback regarding the sofa beds. For your next stay, feel free to let us know your preferences. We have family rooms with a mezzanine, which provide more space, but they were most likely fully booked during your visit. We’re thrilled that you would return, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Colmar! Best regards, Mélanie, Ibis Styles Colmar Centre
