    A beautiful experience in Marrakech!

    There were 3 couples and we each had one of the Jr. Suites. My husband and I had the Sassoon Suite #7. It was lovely. It had all the amenities you could wish for and was very graciously appointed. The only negative was the “shower” in our suite. It was only a hand-held shower in the beautiful freestanding bathtub. Obviously the water splashed on the floor. You could not have asked for more friendly and accommodating staff. Anything you want inquired about or needed was answered/provided for you. And it was a small riad, so you could mingle with the other guests.We did not use the spa, however we did use the rooftop hot tub and enjoy the views.The breakfast was to die for. I have never had so many different and delicious breads/pastries. The dinners were absolutely delicious—although in my case, way too big. All in all, I would definitely recommend Villa Makassar to anyone heading to Marrakech.     Nice spot but 3 star only

    This Hotel has been sold as 5 star but is at best 3 star. We had booked the largest room and it looked ok, nice bathroom, limited bedroom, almost no cupboards, no room for suitcases. The rooftop terrasse was nice, the restaurant and service was good as well. But the room smelled like chemistry, the TV was broken, no Power plugs, Safe could be carried away, the aircondition old and noisy. At night, the rain went through the ceiling and droping into the Bathroom. That prevented the use of the toilet.Maintenance, cleaning und updates are needed.     Great location, fantastic room, and super staff.we were made feel welcome from the moment we arrived. the bags were taken to the room while we sipped mint tea.The breakfast each morning was incredible and varied slightly each day and set us up for the day ahead.We ate in the restaurant on a few occasions as the food, service and ambiance were fantastic, a big shout out to the piano player.Special mention to the staff that were on for the week that we were there, Saumira, Zakaria (Zac), Ismail and Issam.We would definitely return.
