    Great place to stay

    rating04 Jun 2026

We spent 5 days at Riad Yasmin and had a wonderful stay. The riad offers beautiful sea views and is in an excellent location – just a short walk from the old Medina, the new town, and the port. The breakfasts were good, and the staff at reception were always friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Houssam, who was exceptionally attentive and always made sure that everything was taken care of and that our stay went smoothly. The riad was very clean, and our room was cleaned every day.One thing we particularly enjoyed was that the riad is located right next to the Grand Mosque. Hearing the daily calls to prayer added to the authentic atmosphere and made our experience in Tangier even more memorable and unique.Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would happily recommend it to others.

Good location, average room, avoid breakfast!

    rating31 Oct 2025

We stayed here for 2 nights, the location was good & the staff friendly. On arrival we were given a room on the ground floor next to reception. The room had no outside windows. The only windows opened into the reception area, even with the windows closed the room could get noisy when the other guests were arriving/leaving. The shower was powerful & due to the poor drainage flooded the bathroom, bedroom & the reception area. We had breakfast in one morning, this was very poor & limited in choice, the view was good though! Apart from the location & staff I would suggest looking elsewhere to stay

    Pretty disappointing

    rating22 Oct 2025

The hotel was pretty bad. The sewage smell in the room was so strong it felt as if we were sleeping in a public toilet. The room was dirty — not from a lack of cleaning, but from years of neglect and no renovation. Everything felt old and worn out, and the breakfast was poor. The so-called “city tax” was shockingly high — around 4 € per person per night, equivalent to what hotels in Paris or Rome charge. I’m convinced this is a scam by the hotel, as this is just a modest three-star property in Tangier. The staff and location were okay, but that’s where anything positive ends. What surprised me most is that, when booking through Booking.com, the reviews were suspiciously high — no one mentioned any of the serious issues I experienced. A few days after checkout, I realized why: Booking.com never gave me the option to leave a review. When I contacted their customer service for help, they simply replied that this hotel is managed by a “partner agency” and that they “don’t have access” to the reviews. Thus, the reviews for this hotel on Booking.com are clearly misleading — and that’s exactly why this place continues to deceive new guests by filtering out negative feedback. I won’t be using Booking.com again unless they start ensuring honesty and transparency for travelers.

Hidden hotel in a market street

    rating19 Sept 2025

This is a hotel squashed between 2 buildings - there are no windows anywhere. Hard to find, but a good location. Very busy market street location. No facilities, but the room was clean. No toiletries provided. Staff friendly.

This has got to be one of the very best riad’s we have stayed in.

    rating28 Jun 2025

This has got to be one of the very best riad’s we have stayed in over numerous multiple monthly visits over a number of years staying all around Morocco. This is when you take into account the location, friendliest/professionalism of the staff/owner. The quality of decoration and finish is second to none. Money has not been spared in renovating Dar Yasmin. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. The breakfast is plentiful , varied choice and excellent quality. We will definitely be back and highly recommended it.
