Great value in a fun part of the city

    rating29 Nov 2025

Great location- easy walk to shopping, restaurants, the fort, and the ferry. Friendly staff and good breakfasts from their top floor restaurant (nice view too). Comfortable small room. Hallway noise and call to prayer calls occur but that’s expected anywhere in the area. We would stay here again.

Avoid Mamora Bay at all costs – this place has completely ruined our trip. Unsafe and dirty

    rating26 Aug 2025

This so-called “hotel” is absolutely disgraceful and unfit for human use. The main door to our room did not even close properly, leaving us feeling unsafe from the moment we arrived. The conditions were appalling: damp throughout, a constant gutter stench, a blocked sink, and a toilet so small that anyone over 70kg would physically struggle to use it. The toilet seat was broken, and the bed sheets were not only dirty and badly stained but clearly had not even been changed from the previous resident. Truly disgusting. We had originally booked a triple room, but it was so bad that we were forced to downgrade to a tiny double bed room for three people, just to get away from the filth. There was no TV, no kettle, no basic amenities at all. The entire listing for Mamora Bay was nothing but a lie. This wasn’t just disappointing — it was a nightmare that ruined our whole experience. What should have been a special stay turned into stress, discomfort, and disgust. To make matters worse, I have contacted Booking.com several times by phone and email, and even reached out on X (Twitter), yet I have had no response. The lack of customer care has been shocking and only made the situation worse.Mamora Bay is a disgrace and should never be advertised as a hotel. Save yourself the pain and avoid it at all costs. To make matters even worse, when checking out today, the hotel manager aggressively confronted us and pressured us to change our review. This was extremely intimidating and frightening for my family — something we never expected or should ever have to experience.

Good value hotel with good location for those on a budget

    rating15 Mar 2025

Very reasonably priced hotel in the heart of the Medina. Comfortable rooms although somewhat small and cleaned regularly. Reception staff are friendly and helpful and always ready to meet your needsThe only downside is that the breakfast becomes a bit repetitive if you’re there for more than three nights as the same breakfast is served every morning heavy on bread and pastries .The waiting staff though are incredibly attentive .

Back in Morocco after 17 years

    rating05 Nov 2024

Good hotel, a decent breakfast, and the view from our room (304 or 306 last on the corridor) was very nice (no view around the Tangier was better! We paid more for this room but totally worth it! Medina is close and we did not have any problem with the parking despite the bad reviews.

Fantastic service and location- but bring your earplugs!

    rating24 Aug 2024

This one is a hard one to review and almost deserves 4 stars. The service and location were great, but for the price, we didn’t feel the room was good enough. The good: service and location. On arrival, the reception desk is very helpful and speaks many languages. You’re welcome to a cup of tea and then a valet helps you with your things to get to the room. The location is fantastic. You can’t beat it. You’re right in the middle of all the action in the old Medina with a quick walk to the water or to the central market. What really stood out was the breakfast in the café on the rooftop. Breakfast was included every day and the service was run by the most kind waiter who remembered your drink orders each morning and greeted you with a smile café overlook the water and the Medina is very beautiful. It was a great way to start the day. The not so good: the room. The room was small. The bed was hard, and the walls were thin. We had a room on the street side, so between the sounds of the street and the noisy neighbors, if we didn’t have earplugs I don’t think we would’ve got much sleep. We stayed at places that were substantially less expensive and more comfortable while in Morocco.
