    The hotel, staff and food were excellent. For me, the only disappointment was the beach. There had been a lot of erosion which they having been working on so the beach was very narrow.

    Easy to get to, rooms are very clean especially the bathroom. Was able to get in and out of the hotel easily via the valet service. Because our stay was for a 25th anniversary, the hotel even gave us a gift that was unexpected. If we get to Maui again, we will stay here!     Average experience at a Hyatt hotel with just nicer pools

    This was a pretty average experience, nothing terrible but nothing special as well. For the price, you’d expect just a little more of a full service experience with better hospitality, however, this was basically just a Hyatt hotel with nicer pools.It was my first time in Maui and being a resort, I booked it for my wedding anniversary, expecting a special experience. No welcome drink, no breakfast credits or anything included. Parking was $50 a night and the room felt pretty simple—slippers had to be requested and weren’t even prepared in the room.It was a decently nice hotel that was clean with a revamped interior, though the exterior was old. Nice pools but the Hyatt part of the beach was pretty bad compared to what the resorts beside us had—thankfully we could just walk over to their side.     Great hotel with a beautiful property. Our room was a nice size with a nice balcony over looking the ocean as well as the pool system. It was nice that there were motion activated lights on the bedframe to ease your walking if you got up in the middle of the night. There was also a motion activated light in the bathroom vanity area. The staff was very friendly. Having the birds in the lobby were a nice tropical touch, along with the penguins. Plenty of nice shops to meet your needs along with a coffee shop. The view from the steak house and the breakfast dining room was just beautiful. The access to the walk along the ocean and behind all of the other hotels and the Whalers Village was great.     Staying here was such an unforgettable experience! We eloped during our visit so being able to have such a beautiful accommodation was ideal to be able to get ready in our room.
