Good stay!

Beautiful hotel with large rooms and shuttle to and from airport (for a fee). The pool was lovely and the restaurant was pricey but had good food!

Excellent location and good service
31 Mar 2025
I stayed here on a business trip to Maputo and enjoyed my experience. The location is excellent and nearby to both business and plenty of restaurants. The food in the hotel is also of exceptional quality. The best part of the rooms is the view over the water. Only drawback is that wifi signal was not always strong in the evenings.

Comfortable, clean, spacious rooms
17 Jul 2023
Private balcony with seating, spacious bedroom and bathroom, private parking, good location not too far drive from seaside restaurants and main tourist attractions. We got the end time of breakfast wrong on the first morning, and the manager came around personally and made arrangements for us. Very cold and impersonal
13 Mar 2023
Yes, the views are great, and the rooms spacious, but the place is just unfriendly and impersonal. When you walk in, the receptionist doesn't greet you, and the reception area is just so confusing! It's not clear where to go, and we were not told we needed to use a card to activate the lift??? There was no information in the bedroom, and my room had some very old past their sell by date flowers in a vase! The basin in the bathroom is so shallow, and not practical at all, as is the door stopper right in from of the toilet! It took 4 attempts and a long wait to give me the correct card to open the door to my room when I checked in.Breakfast, what breakfast?? I went at 06.25, and left at 06.45, as breakfast was still being laid out, with no drinks etc availableNone of the reception staff spoke English, and could not assist me Montebelo Hotels, Marketing at Montebelo Girassol Maputo Hotel, responded to this review Dear 247LiveLife,Thank you very much for your feedback, your comments will be shared with our staff to help us improve our service. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are clean. Great wi-fi as well. Food in the restaurant is ok. Some of the staff at reception was not very friendly. In my opinion, this is a great hotel and I will return.
