    One Night Is Never Enough

    I absolutely love this place. The greenery is stunning and it truly feels like having a massive backyard surrounded by nature. My family spent the weekend here and every visit leaves us even more impressed. The service is exceptional and the staff are incredibly warm, polite, welcoming, and always ready to help.I usually book through Indina Rai from the sales team and she has been amazing every single time. She makes the entire process effortless and smooth which makes the experience even better.The only thing I would complain about is that one night is simply not enough. You need at least two nights to fully soak in and embrace the beauty of Gokarna Forest Resort. My daughter absolutely loved watching the deer in the evening and seeing her excitement made our stay even more memorable.The food is good with a great variety of choices, although I feel there is still room to make it even more exceptional. Overall, this place is a perfect escape into nature and every visit makes us want to come back again and again.     GFR is an oasis in the middle of bustling Kathmandu. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. The accommodations are quite comfortable & the golf course was well-enjoyed by my friends. Although I do not golf I enjoyed the pool & peaceful “forest walk”, accompanied by a guide, monkeys & spotted deer. If your travel plans involve Kathmandu, consider making Gokarna Forest resort your home-away-from home.     A Lovely Anniversary Celebration at a Beautiful Resort

    We stayed for two nights in the Presidential Suite at the resort and had a truly enjoyable and relaxing experience from the moment we arrived. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and warm hospitality immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. A special thank you to Samba, the bellman, whose kindness and thoughtful recommendations on places to visit and activities to enjoy during our stay were greatly appreciated. His friendly attitude added a very personal touch to our experience. The Presidential Suite itself was spacious and comfortable, and the bed was exceptionally cozy, allowing us to fully relax and unwind. We were also pleasantly surprised by the lovely anniversary setup prepared upon our arrival — such a thoughtful gesture that made our celebration even more memorable. During our stay, we experienced a few technical issues with the TV and WiFi connection. Thankfully, the Engineering and IT teams responded very quickly and handled everything efficiently, which we sincerely appreciated. Their professionalism and prompt service reflected the resort’s commitment to guest satisfaction. One aspect that did surprise us was the absence of an elevator to access the fourth floor. It can be quite challenging for both guests and staff, especially when carrying heavy luggage, and this is something that could improve the overall comfort of the stay. We also feel there is some room for improvement regarding housekeeping and attention to detail. We noticed stains on the pillowcases and found an empty chocolate wrapper under the sofa, which slightly affected our impression of cleanliness. That said, these were relatively minor issues compared to the overall positive experience we had. The hospitality, peaceful ambiance, and comfort of the resort made our stay memorable, and we truly enjoyed our time there. We would gladly return and recommend the resort to others looking for a relaxing getaway.     I had an absolutely incredible experience staying here—easily one of the highlights of my entire trip to Nepal.From the moment I arrived, the service and hospitality stood out immediately. Every single staff member was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It didn’t feel transactional at all—it felt like being taken care of by people who truly care about your experience. I especially want to highlight Sashil Bhandari, Biren Mahato, and Rijan Koju—these guys are the absolute best. They went above and beyond in every way, always making sure everything was perfect, and their energy alone made the stay unforgettable. Sashil and Biren have honestly become lifelong friends of mine, which says everything about the kind of people they are.The food was another major highlight. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the difference in quality compared to typical city food.One of the most noticeable things about this place is the air and environment. Compared to Kathmandu, the air here is incredibly fresh and clean—you feel it immediately. It’s peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful scenery that makes it easy to relax and reset.The property itself is amazing. There are temples on-site, which add a really special spiritual atmosphere, and the animals around the area make it feel alive and unique in a way that’s hard to describe—you just have to experience it. They even have golf available, which is such a cool and unexpected bonus.On top of everything, the pricing is extremely reasonable for what you get. Honestly, it feels like you’re getting way more value than you’re paying for.Overall, this place is something special.
