    The rooms are quite old and show signs of wear. They could definitely use a makeover. Breakfast was basic with cheese and ham from the discounter. Rates are too high for the service provided. On the plus side is the location right in the centre.     The hotel is in an exceptional location; the front of house staff are excellent and very amenable; the room was clean, the bed comfy, the shower strong; the lobby is exceptional with a grand staircase. The room was in parts quite tired - thinking of the firniture - which does need more tlc or an upgrade for the prices being charged.
