  We had a flying visit to Amsterdam so we were just looking for somewhere to sleep. This hotel was OK for just that . Location is good, close walk to trains stations, shopping area, and nice restaurants . We were met by friendly staff at check . Room wasnt ready but we were allowed to leave bags and we got a text when the room was ready. We booked a twin room. Very, Very basic ! Small, with a tiny bathroom. View was the roof of another building, where people could sit out on their balcony so we had to keep curtains closed . If you have mobility issues dont stay here, there is no elevator and the stairs is like rock climbing, its like you are going completely vertical. I think we paid about 280 for the room for the night which was a lot considering how basic it was . No breakfast or bar facilities. It was totally fine for the few hours that we where there but I probably wouldnt book again .

  Positive: Great locationWonderful view to the water, and - the window can be openedNice building with an elegant entranceUnbelievable friendly, nice and helpful staffVery good bedVery cleanRoom has a very good sizeAlthough the hotel is small, there is a cosy room downstairsNegative:in the weekend extremely loud until late at night. Don't forget your earplugs ;)Slow and bad WIFI In my opinion, the hotel is little bit too expensive.You should know:as in all old Amsterdam houses, the stairs are very narrow and steep.

  One of the oldest hotels in Amsterdam. For the limited small size of the room and the small bathroom, the owners have remodeled well. The steps are a nightmare, but just take one step at a time! The staff was pleasant, courteous, and helpful.

  Everything was very poor about this hotel. Area is nice but location of hotel is quite seedy with loads of rubbish on the streets in the morning. Our room had a tiny wardrobe, dirty carpets, towels as thin and rough as sandpaper, and no bathroom amenities. We found hairs in the shower and even a carton of cigarettes left behind. The whole place smelled stale and musty every time we entered.Staff were unwelcoming, and before arrival we even received a call asking for credit card details over the phone — very unprofessional. Sleep was impossible due to noise from the bar next door that went on past 2 a.m. Our window overlooked a dingy alley with bins, rubbish, and people smoking. A permanent “rooms available” sign hung outside all week, which was no surprise.There are no breakfast or dining facilities. For the price charged, this hotel offers terrible value. Many far better options exist in Amsterdam — we would not recommend staying here at all.

  Perfect place to stay in Amsterdam!

  Wonderful boutique hotel! Staff amazing and attentive. We were on 3rd floor overlooking the canal and the view was perfect. Stairs are not for the faint of heart but adds to the charm. Lots to see and do and everything is walkable. Bring your best walking shoes and enjoy!!! We love Amsterdam!
