    Lovely stay with our two rescue dogs

    I stayed at the Amsterdam House Hotel with my two rescue dogs from Thailand. Our room was cosy and clean with an amazing view of the canal. The owner was so kind to our dogs...they were nervous as they are rescues and he went put of his way to comfort them and show them kindness. Great, central location, close to all the main sites within walking distance. Breakfast was also very good, a nice selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurt and cereal. Thank you for a lovely stay!

    This is an absolute darling of a hotel. Its quaint and quirky. We had a lovely view over the canal which was just stunning. The bed was so comfortable and I had a great sleep. We booked the prosecco breakfast which was lovely and its more than just the one glass of Champagne. The staff will help you with directions and anything else that you need. The room we had had 2 double windows and we had these open as well as the air con on just because it was an actual heatwave. It was surprising just how quiet the area is at night as its a 2 min walk from Rembrant Square which is hive of activity with bars and shops. We stayed for 3 nights and the room was cleaned and turned over each day with tea and coffee replenished. The hotel does accept pets as well if you are travelling with pets.

    A View with a Room in Amsterdam

    A quirky hotel with a nice view of the canal and conveniently located. It was a bit dated and rundown but that was offset by the nice breakfast spread ( you can make your own eggs!), sunny spot on the canal and very pleasant hosts. Rooms were small but had nice views of the canal. I would give it 3.5 stars.

    Poor service and dirty sheets no working appliance

    A dog-friendly room does not mean it's a dog-friendly hotel. I found stains on the sheets and hair everywhere. The service was poor, and the staff had no manners when interacting with Quest. Additionally, my fridge didn't work. It seems they don't care once they've received their payment. I would recommend going to Home2 Suites instead; they allow dogs during breakfast. I'm really sorry I chose to stay here.

    The location was great, but the room was dirty (dusty carpet floor room, we tried as much as possible to not step on the floor or to not leave our stuff on the floor; crumbs in the fridge, dust all over the dangling ceiling fan). The second night was too much, we left at 2am after smashing 2 bed bugs and found another room by the airport at 4h30. When we came-back after a couple hours of sleep to checkout, the owner was aggressive, calling us liars, saying that we just went to another hotel closer to where we partied (the famous Amsterdam airport party I guess) and refused to refund at least the second night, kicking us out of his hotel.
