    Avoid this hotel

    rating11 Feb 2020

Awful hotel.. Dirty, loose cables on floor, very dusty, left with bite marks, no tv as advertised, big holes in towels, my biggest issue was the cleaning, it was awful, tried contacting the host several times with no reply, I would never stay here again nor would i recommend it to others. Photo is of wipes used to clean the table in our room.

    Very bad experience

    rating04 Nov 2019

We had the worst service experience ever. we’re 20 minutes late for check in and the host left the place so we had to wait freezings outside. When the host arrived she kept blaming us for waking her up (they had all flight information). We felt like she wanted us to leave. The room is full with mosquitoes so it was impossible to sleep well, very old facilities, shower was flooded every time we took a shower. Really not recommended. Only after booking the room we saw exactly the same complaints on booking.com.

There is no onsite service. If you want service you must send an email or use social media. The wifi kept failing and I had to find and restart the router myself to improve it. There was a flat screen TV but the remote was a different make and hence useless. The lighting, especially in the bathroom was poor. There were lights over the washbasins but no way to operate them! Only one trash can and that was in the toilet. Amenities such as coffee-maker, iron, clock/radio/alarm, phone, safe, refrigerator, shampoo, conditioner, were non-existant. There is no dining room, nor is there an elevator. It was not possible to lock the windows. Having said all that our suite was clean and very spacious, and it was situated overlooking a lovely canal with many restaurants and facilities nearby.

Bites all over me!!! Wouldn't recommend!!

We had an early fight got to Amsterdam at 9.30 was only able check in at 2 but they told us we would be able leave our cases. Could only leave our case at 11 so had to carry them round the first couple of hours. When we arrives at the hotel we had to call a number and wait a few mins for a gentleman to arrive. He gave us the key to the room and said it would only be ready around 3 he advised us we had to pay in cash. The room wasn't to bad had a smell like they'd used a dirty mop to mop the floor but other than that clean enough. On the first night I noticed a few flys and they provided us with a zapper to kil them but we mustn't have got them all as both me and my partner was bit more than 20 times. No one to speak to whilst we was there difficult to get hold of anyone definitely wouldn't stay again or recommend

    A little disappointing...

    rating08 May 2019

The location of the hotel and the room size were great- really really spacious! Some main attractions are within walking distance and there is a tram stop nearby. The staff were all friendly too. Whilst the location and room size were brilliant, our stay was hindered by the lack of basic facilities. It came to our understanding that the hotel very recently came under new ownership and because of this made our stay not-so-great. Simple things like having no bin in the entire place, aside from a small one in the bathroom, which we had to move into the main area. No hairdryer was provided- and when asked we were told they were all given out to other rooms and nothing could be arranged for us. Given that we had booked a superior queen room this was extremely poor. The tv has no remote and did not work (and the staff actually knew that it didn’t work!- But no one told us so we spent ages trying to get it to work and then gave it up as a lost cause. All which could have been avoided if anyone had bothered to tell us. There was no kettle (although one was provided after we asked, but we still had to buy our own teabags and milk- everyday!!- As there was no mini fridge provided either. More importantly there was no safe in the room that had plenty of wardrobes- all of which were empty so could easily have occupied a small safe. There was also no internet/ WiFi available to us as we were on the second floor!! This was appalling as WiFi really is a basic requirement when staying abroad. Furthermore the lighting in the room was terrible. There was also no proper reception area to speak to staff and no area or provisions to provide breakfast! The bathtub when filled, didn’t provide hot water either, it was just lukewarm. There was also no phone in the room in order to call anyone as there was no reception! No iron or ironing board was provided either. The list sadly goes on. All in all a very disappointing stay. It felt more like a self catering flat rental than a hotel. There were lots of small, basic things that should have been provided that seemed to have been overlooked for some reason.
