Location

This comfortable city hotel is located between Rembrandt Park and Vondelpark, 2 km away from the museum quarter. It is close to several shops. Schiphol Airport lies about 5 minutes' drive away.

Facility

90 rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Other services include room service, an alarm call service and a laundry service. Cyclists can make use of the bicycle storage area and hire service. Complimentary newspapers are available.

    I don't know why this hotel doesn't have a better rating here. It's a good hotel. The bathroom is really small, but functional. The shower is good. The room has good space, the TV is great, and the bed was very comfortable. It's not a new hotel, and the carpets in the hallways may be replaced during renovations. But the room has wooden floors and was clean. It's close to Lelylaan station – you can walk there if the weather permits. I think it's a good option if you need to stay relatively close to the airport and still plan to spend the day in Amsterdam. Staff is friendly.

    We were put in this hotel by our airline due to cancellations at Schiphol Airport. We spent 2 nights here - our airline were diabolical service wise but that’s not something I can say about this hotel.The reception staff were helpful and remained calm despite multiple errors by airline with passengers not having rooms for the right amount of nights.This happened to us and we were given late checkout so we could try and sort it, when we couldn’t they were very welcoming in their lobby area for the rest of the day! They also helped us heat up our food for lunch! We ended up booking in for the 2nd night.The rooms have all you need, they are basic but nothing wrong with them! Beds are comfortable but quite soft!The experience with the staff was the standout for us - especially given how stressful the situation was - THANK YOU to all the staff that worked the 4th-6th January! We were certainly very grateful for your hospitality!

    The hairdryer didn't work properly, it stopped working every 30 seconds you used it for a while, and then worked again for another 30 seconds, I tried to call reception with the phone in the room but didn't work either or didn't answer, and we were in the sixth floor and in a rush. Netflix was restricted and my account couldn't work. The cleaning wasn't great. Otherwise it was fine.

    We spent a whole week at Bastion Hotel Amsterdam Zuidwest from October 21st to October 28thWe were looking for something close to our daughter’s house and this hotel was a right match between location and priceLocation is good and just one station from the airport. Supermarket is 5/7 minutes walk and transportation to the city center is around 10 minutes walkThe rooms are simple, cozy and clean. With all you need for your stay. Amenities in the bathroom and perfect working heating which is a must during these autumn winter season Mini Fridge and coffee maker in the rooms are a great detail . They provide you with coffee, sugar and creamer every day, and if you need you can ask for moreWe did not have the chance to try the restaurant onsiteStaff members were always nice and helpful. Special thanks to Lucas who helped us with a problem with our van.With no doubt we will return if we have the opportunity

    Horrible customer service. Booked a king bed for 3 (us and our toddler) and mentioned 3 people in the booking. They provided just two pillows. Didnt even provide another one when asked. Never going back
