Location

This hotel is located in the Hoofddorp district, only around a 5-minute drive with the shuttle service to Schiphol airport on the A4, exit 3. The centre of Amsterdam lies around 15 km away.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 80 double rooms. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine.     Stayed here for 10 weeks while working in the area.Very convenient and will stay again.There is a little noise but it’s an airport hotel so people coming and going at all times.It’s not directly under a flight path so no aircraft noise at all.Rooms are comfortable and clean with a huge TV,fridge,and a coffee machine.Food is decent for a hotel although I never had breakfast.All the staff are friendly and helpful especially Renata on reception who sorted any questions or issues we had right away She was very smiley and made the early mornings more bearable 😁

    Not the cleanest, my shower had part of a shaver on the floor. And the carpet on the corridor amd stairs was filthy. Noise from the corridor is not the best. The room itself was nice for the price. Too far from the airport and shuttle only starts atb6h30 am. So had to call an uber. Save on the room and spend on the ride to the airport if your flight check in is early.The food was really good, presentable and very tasty. Staff very friendly

    I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. Either the owners have no idea who they’ve hired, or they simply don’t care about customer service at all. I could put names and describe the whole experience to make it simpler for them but I do not hang out people. I can even say that I got afraid of the situation.Simply, worst hotel experience ever.

    Smooth check in and superb service thanks to Irene. Also the bar service was great with Joey looking after us after a business dinner and late return to the hotel. Room compact but quiet and comfortable.

    This was my first experience with Park, Sleep and Fly, which seemed like a good idea as I was flying very early the next morning. Firstly the hotel is tricky to find. The entrance and car park is dark, poorly signposted and very tight for parkling and manoeuvring. My mid sized car only just fitted in the space making getting in and out very difficult. I worried about possible damage leaving my car there. The building, the entrance, the foyer... it's all very small town "motel" like and not welcoming at all. That said the staff were very engaged, helpful and positive. The stairwell carpet going upstairs to the room was filthy dirty and the overall appearance was not what I was expecting from a Bastion Hotel. This impression carried over into the room. That said and most importantly, the room, bedlinen and bathroom were clean, but the standard of maintence and condition of fittings was dreadful. As already mentioned in previous reviews the washbasin and ledge are installed in such a way that even cleaning teeth requires an act of contortion. It's all way too small. The tap was completely loose on the basin too and had to be held with both hands to make it work. The desktop surfaces were damaged, marked and difficult to clean.On returning to Schipol 2 days later, I called the info number to find out where to catch the hotel shuttle. I waited 45 Mins for the Bastion bus and was taken to a different Bastion Hotel. With the comment from the driver, "oh, you have to get another minibus to the other hotel from here". It was all very complicated and frustrating and took lots of time, with bags and suitcases and me wanting to get to my car and on my way home.In summary, I will not be not be choosing this option again. Bastion has dissappointed here. Poor hotel, poor coordination and poor logistics that do not instill confidence at all. The only positive. the Hotel staff... making the best of a difficult location and a poorly maitained hotel.
